That’s an interesting question…… as for me, I firmly believe collective punishment is wrong in all cases…. nothing can justify the innocent suffering. But can you just hear the outcry from the Western World if Israelis were also punished.
The Supreme Court of Israel disagrees with me…. Gideon Levy deals with the question in THIS report….
The severity of the Supreme Court’s decision is not only on the human level: The Supreme Court is authorizing collective punishment, which is specifically forbidden under international law (Article 33 of the Geneva Convention). Henceforth, Israel will no longer be able to complain about attacks against innocents in Israel: If all the residents of the Gaza Strip deserve to be punished because of the Qassam rockets, then maybe all Israelis deserve to be punished because of the occupation?

The point of the Israelis is, and always has been, that the Palestinians are not people, and therefore do not deserve the same rights as Jews. Therefore, in fact, do not have any rights. So of course the same rules do not apply in reverse; that would be like arguing that since one crushes a nest of cockroaches, that the cockroaches have some sort of right to respond in kind…
Of course, most of them believe that this applies to all goyim, anyway…

The problem is, for the rest of us non-israeli non-jews, is that we are goyim. So we are their fodder, no matter what country we live in, no matter how much money or assistance our government (US) gives them. They believe they deserve it, regardless of their country’s psychopathic concepts. Look up the word. It means that any non-jew is a non-person and a slave. No more than an animal. Thankfully not all Jewish people believe this. And I think it’s wrong to lump all Jews into the same “Israeli” camp.

But today, empirical science has been made a similar fool by Categorical Knowledge.
Categorical Knowledge is that knowledge that is true in every instance with no exception.
Categorical Knowledge is exceedingly rare.
This is Categorical Knowledge:
The moral imperative of life is to live a life that detracts not at all from the lives available to those who will follow us into this world.
You can test it for yourselves.
Now. If it is Categorical Knowledge, then those who ignore it, even for an instance, are most often going to end up wrong (as well as immoral.)

Oh no, we in the West mustn’t condemn Israel! Too much of our economy and money is wrapped up in it.;) Among other things, our magnificent Canadian diamond mines in the Northwest Territories.
I still haven’t received an answer from my illustrious leader, Stephen Harper to explain Canada’s decision to be the only nation out of 47 to vote against the latest U.N. resolution calling on the end of the now two-year siege of Gaza and cessation of Israeli military operations. I’m so fed up with Israel that given the choice I wouldn’t let a single penny of my American tax dollars to support that nation of bigots. Nobodies “punishing” Israel. The historic irony about Israel is how it’s turned into a nation of Nazis who are turning Palestinians into a holocaust that Israel will one day get to be judged for committing. Maybe then they won’t have that holocaust chip on their shoulder any more, or at least the world won’t let them get away with it. Don’t call me “anti-Semitic” just because I’m rooting for the real underdogs here who are dying by dozens of Palestinians to every one Israeli.
