His business dealings, which continued until his company’s assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.
The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator’s action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
The debate over Prescott Bush’s behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time. There has been a steady internet chatter about the “Bush/Nazi” connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis’ plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler’s rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.
Remarkably, little of Bush’s dealings with Germany has received public scrutiny, partly because of the secret status of the documentation involving him. But now the multibillion dollar legal action for damages by two Holocaust survivors against the Bush family, and the imminent publication of three books on the subject are threatening to make Prescott Bush’s business history an uncomfortable issue for his grandson, George W, as he seeks re-election.

While America and the rest of Europe were still in the depths of the depression caused by the stock market crash in October 1929, Germany had stabilized its economy and had virtually eliminated unemployment. Unlike the other countries in Europe in 1936, Nazi Germany was doing well, thanks in part to American investment capital. Many American businessmen, led by auto maker Henry Ford, supported Hitler and his Fascist form of government. Other prominent Americans who supported Hitler included Joseph P. Kennedy (the father of President John F. Kennedy), and Prescott Bush (the grandfather of President George W. Bush) and Charles Lindbergh.
Did you catch the name of Joseph P. Kennedy? His involvement with the nazis became public knowledge years ago, some even believe that because of it a curse was put on his decedents…. which just might be true if we look at what happened to most of them….
But, getting back to the Bush family scandal, again I ask why this was kept such a secret all of these years when apparently the facts were known to a number of reliable sources. THIS video exposes much of the Bush wrongdoings… it’s worth watching.

The Anti-Defamation League in the US is supportive of Prescott Bush and the Bush family. In a statement last year they said that “rumours about the alleged Nazi ‘ties’ of the late Prescott Bush … have circulated widely through the internet in recent years. These charges are untenable and politically motivated … Prescott Bush was neither a Nazi nor a Nazi sympathiser.”
However, one of the country’s oldest Jewish publications, the Jewish Advocate, has aired the controversy in detail.
More than 60 years after Prescott Bush came briefly under scrutiny at the time of a faraway war, his grandson is facing a different kind of scrutiny but one underpinned by the same perception that, for some people, war can be a profitable business.
A new question arises now, WHY WAS/IS THE ADL SUPPORTIVE OF THE BUSH FAMILY?
Dubya and Daddy Bush were/are the greatest supporters, both financially and militarily of the State of Israel. AIPAC has poured millions of dollars into their campaigns and the campaigns of their supporters. It’s a ‘rub my back, I’ll rub your’s’ situation…. even if is at the expense of the lives of millions of your own people.
I’ve heard many times that ‘politics makes for strange bedfellows’, but ‘bedding down’ with your enemy is a bit much. All I can surmise from all of this is that the Kennedy/Bush Klans are a bunch of unscrupulous bastards…. and the ADL and their ilk are a bunch of whores! There is no other way to describe the situation.

The MSM is a liberal tool not Conservative, FOX news may be the only main news source that leans to the right!
The veracity of my claims would be easy to check, simply use Google or another search engine of size and ability.

This story caused me to think. I didn’t draw any conclusions, but at least it stimulated some brain cells. When I first encountered you I just assumed you were an anti-semite. Now I wonder about you. Maybe you don’t have some kind of secret agenda on your site. If it makes you feel any better though, Jewish culture and people are becoming extinct in many parts of America. Seems like we didn’t mutate in the right way and now in a multi-cultural pluralistic culture with modern stresses many Jews can’t take it. I was born Jewish, but my parents practically didn’t tell me I was. Later I found out that if I ever said I was Jewish some people would look at me harshly and maybe poke at being cheap and controlling the world. I hadn’t felt like I had done anything wrong. As far as I was concerned I barely knew who I was. My parents just left my cultural identity a big blank. When Christmas happened I felt really lonely because my friends were doing something called Christmas which was something our family never did. Two times my Christian friend invited me over for Christmas, where I felt awestruck about their beautiful Christmas Tree covered in lights and amazing ornaments. Not being Christian made me feel like I wasn’t normal which is why to this very day despite how normal I can be I feel abnormal which isn’t a nice thing to say about oneself. I have always suffered from some form of identity turmoil, my whole life and am only now beginning to discover who I am. Last Christmas was spent with my Christian friends whom I love as much as my family. I wish you tried to spread more love like feelings. Your influence can effect many people and I hope you use your power for good. I believe we all need to be more accepting of people who are different then us. I know that there are social groups out there that I don’t like myself, but on the other hand I feel like they have a place in the grand scheme of things. Jews and everyone else, hispanics, blacks, gypsies, Indians, Asians, individuals I am sure would like to give you a big warm hug.

Are you kidding? Why the hell does it say that George W is running for re-election? He can’t. Either a)the person writing this doesn’t know what they’re talking about, b) it was written about the 2004 campaign, which shows it’s effectiveness since nothing has been done, or c) this is a story for morons. While I have no love for GW, this is a tabloid news item. Surely, no one else would support Hitler except an American, even though 60% of the Waffen SS were non-german europeans. Thank god we have such intrepid reporters to serve us up such important, timely news. It’s awesome that with all the other great stuff available out there to ridicule GW Bush the one that’s chosen is a conspiracy theory.

Germany was doing well in the mid/late 1930’s because they were displacing and murdering Jews and others and stealing their wealth and property. Non-Aryans were relegated to labor and good jobs were reserved for “pure” Germans, who were quite pleased to have the goods created by the victims of the Nazis. (Heck, a bunch of New Yorkers and Bostonians were funding bombs that blew up innocent British citizens until 9/11 when they found out what that felt like.) Brits and Americans celebrate victory in WWII as though we didn’t firebomb civilians and drop the big one.
