ISRAELI GOVERNMENT HUSH ON THE HUSH

As I mentioned a few times, this year’s Independence Day celebrations were non participatory events in Israel. Hardly a flag was flying, hardly a song was sung….. but the government and the press here completely ignored that phenomenon, as does most of the Western governments.
The Israeli government is in the midst of their own problems… a new scandal involving the Prime Minister, probably the scandal that will be the reason for new elections in the very near future.
But the question remains, why the bitterness among the Israeli people? The answer is simple, Israelis are sick and tired of being lied to. They question every move the government makes these days, including the intensified actions against the Palestinians.
Israel talks peace but makes war… Israeli soldiers die…. and for what? That is what the parents of these soldiers are asking… FOR WHAT???
But the arrogance of the government forces them to continue despite the will of the people… it’s easier to ignore that will and just put a ‘hush on the hush’……
President Bush will be arriving here on the 15th of May… he will bear witness to the real will of the people as the sky over Jerusalem turns black in protest.

(3) If you are in Palestine, volunteer to help us inflate and LAUNCH the balloons on May 15;
(4) Wherever you are, consider doing an action in SOLIDARITY with our action (in addition to whatever else you may be planning). For example, you can launch your own balloons, fly black kites, march with black banners, etc.

Let us intensify the efforts for the LOVE of Palestine. Do your part and perform your responsibility toward the Palestinian human rights. Silence is complicity, no actions means approval.
Mark you calendar for May 23-25 where we assert the Palestinian National rights. We will say it loud that we will never forget. Palestinians are the Key holders of peace. Join the thousands and strengthen the network of the thousands of activists. Express your opinion and let the many panelists know of where Palestine should go. Support our efforts to empower our community and assert the Palestinians right of return.
