ISRAEL’S INDEPENDENCE FROM WHOM?

(English Translation)

July 4th is Independence Day in the United States. A day when the country’s Fathers set fourth a Declaration of Independence… from British rule.

India also declared its independence from British rule in 1947.

Finland declared its independence from Russian rule in 1917.

In the early part of the last century Mexico declared its independence from Spain.

The list is endless…. country after country declaring themselves free from the grips of another….

On May 14th, 1948, the ‘People’s Council of the Land of Israel’ declared the following…

ACCORDINGLY, WE, MEMBERS OF THE PEOPLE’S COUNCIL, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF ERETZ-ISRAEL AND OF THE ZIONIST MOVEMENT, ARE HERE ASSEMBLED ON THE DAY OF THE TERMINATION OF THE BRITISH MANDATE OVER ERETZ-ISRAEL AND, BY VIRTUE OF OUR NATURAL AND HISTORIC RIGHT AND ON THE STRENGTH OF THE RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, HEREBY DECLARE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A JEWISH STATE IN ERETZ-ISRAEL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE STATE OF ISRAEL.

Termination of the British Mandate over Eretz- Israel (Land of Israel)??? What ‘Land of Israel’??? Whatever happened to ‘The Land of Palestine’???

In 1938, Mahatma Gandhi wrote the following… “Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French…What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct…If they [the Jews] must look to the Palestine of geography as their national home, it is wrong to enter it under the shadow of the British gun. A religious act cannot be performed with the aid of the bayonet or the bomb. They can settle in Palestine only by the goodwill of the Arabs…As it is, they are co-sharers with the British in despoiling a people who have done no wrong to them. I am not defending the Arab excesses. I wish they had chosen the way of non-violence in resisting what they rightly regard as an unacceptable encroachment upon their country. But according to the accepted canons of right and wrong, nothing can be said against the Arab resistance in the face of overwhelming odds.” Mahatma Gandhi, quoted in “A Land of Two Peoples” ed. Mendes-Flohr.

So just who was Israel declaring their independence from? The British had no control over ‘their’ country, according to THIS report the country was populated by Palestinians at the time… not Israelis.

Just as America itself was stolen from its native population, so was Israel. In both cases the ‘justification’ continues by dehuminising the victims, both the First Nation People of North America and the Palestinians.

Perhaps that explains why the United States government has been the most loyal supporter of Israel since its inception… perhaps that explains why they allow Israel to continue with its genocidal polices against the Palestinians, are they not guilty of the same crimes against their own Native population?

There are many ‘whys’ and very few answers coming forth, but the question remains…

ISRAEL’S INDEPENDENCE FROM WHOM?

Great quote from Gandhi. Of course as all pro current Israel policy Israeli and Diaspora Jews will protest – Gandhi must have been a great anti-semite, right up there with folks like President Carter.

Although i can’t stand the yanks, that comparison is unfair.
The yanks don’t have a WORLDWIDE policy of dehumanizing the native Indians and the yanks are not massacring the same and and and.

Good article until it gets to the last section. When people compare the American lands “stolen” from native Americans I take issue. For sure the Native populations that were distributed throughout the Americas were murdered enmass when settlers landed and fanned out across the continents. But the situation cannot be compared to Palestine. Palestinians had “settled” the lands there and had individual land shares that were handed down to relatives over the generations.

North America has been “inhabitated” by every nationality since it was discovered by the rest of the world. To start saying that we are all guilty of genocide is ignorant and keeps the hate burning.

To my knowledge, many of the indiginous tribes did not believe in Land ownership. The nature of “land ownership” was not in their cultures, although they were territorial and fought other tribes over hunting grounds. But there was no “ownership” of land….it was stewards of the land to watch over. Unfortunately, there was a total lack of understanding and toleration by the Europeans that came over which set the stage for genocidal actions.

Now, many Americans are a mixture of native and other nationalities from Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. Even if you were going to blame the current generations, how can you do that intelligently? Not even every white today can trace their lineage back to the early settlement of whites. Many came over in the 20th century.

Palestine, on the other hand has a clear defined race and religion boundary. Also, it is clear that the Palestinians lived generation after generation on the same land and passed that down to their offspring.

While Europe’s leaders today are unanimous about Israel’s righttoexistasaJewishstate, they are unanimous also that Europe’s peoples have no such right to a state devoted to the peoples’ interests.

Europeans are in the same position as Palestinians – they are being race replaced in their homelands. I would hope you all support their cause too…

    Peace, -Nick.

    Independence Day for Israel
by Matt Giwer, © 2005 [May]

You wake up in the middle of the night to a noise downstairs. You grab a gun and head downstairs. You rush to the open window and see a burglar running away. You brag to all and sundry how you chased away the burglar.

In 1948 Palestine the British are leaving. Israel bravely declares its independence and celebrates its War of Independence every year.

    What is the difference?

As a matter of fact this was such a brave act it was on May 14, one day before the official end of the British mandate on May 15. The last possible date to chase away the fleeing burglar and still be able to make a declaration with a straight face.

Israel didn’t become independent. Israel was created by the UN at the expense of the Palestinians.

Israel was created out of shame the world felt for not doing anything to help the Jews in WWII.

Now Israel is doing the same thing to the Palestinians that the Nazi’s did to the Jews in WWII.

Maybe after WWIII the UN will give the Palestinians a nation and actually implement its creation.

Israel a Member of the Common Wealth of the United States

No one can reject the fact that creation of Israel on the land of Arabic nations has created tremendous problems for the United States. We may have to look outside of the box to diffuse the problems. One solution would be for Israel joining us as a member of the Unites States’ Common Wealth.

Would Israel consider joining us as a member of the Unites States’ Common Wealth?
What are costs and benefits for US?

We are already supporting Israel economically, politically and by sharing intelligence and military hardware. In addition, some Israeli Americans with both Israeli and American citizenships serve in the Israeli Armed Forces. Israel never would have to be fearful of any other nation; our great American Armed Forces will protect the common wealth as they would the homeland.

Would it be politically more advantages for the United States to manage the Jewish state as a member of our Common Wealth?

Would it be economically more advantages for Israeli people to be a member of our nation?

The Israeli Common Wealth will be free to exercise the religious freedom that our great nation would offer without being isolated among the hostile Arabs.

Should the Common Wealth include the Arabs who were forced to leave the land when Zionist invaded the land?

Should the area of the Common Wealth include all of the Palestinian Land?

    What do you think?
