When a loved one is hurt we feel their pain. Same is true when a loved one is humiliated, we feel that humiliation with him. So is the case with Mohammed Omer, a young man that is truly loved by all that know him. We feel his pain and humiliation… and a shame that members of our own human species are capable of doing what was done to him.
Mohammed is a very special young man. He was forced to start working at the age of six to help support his family living in the Rafah Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip. His father was languishing at the time in an Israel jail. One day on his way home from school he found an Israeli bulldozer standing in the spot where his home stood that morning. The home was on the Rafah/Egyptian border and was ‘in the way’ of the wall being built to separate the two. Not long after that his younger brother was shot dead by Israeli troops, another brother lost a leg. In ‘retaliation’, Mohammed decided at the age of 17 to ‘arm’ himself with a camera and a pen and become a photojournalist. He felt that if the truth about the situation in Gaza was known to the world, something would be done about it. More about Mohammed can be read in THIS interview.

That video was made while he was on a speaking engagement in the States organised by the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs. He has since spoken in many other countries sharing the message from his people with the people of the world. For this reason he has been nicknamed ‘the voice for the voiceless.’ But it has become apparent that the zionists do not want the voiceless to have a voice at all… they prefer that their crimes go unnoticed and unknown. Just two months ago a friend and coworker of Mohammed’s was murdered in cold blood by Israeli troops. Fadel Shana was covering a situation for Reuters when the Israeli forces killed him. In May, Mohammed was notified that he was this year’s recipient of the Martha Gelhorn Prize for Journalism. You can read in his own words the pride and joy of receiving such a great honour HERE. In the end, he was able to go to personally accept the reward. I wrote about that, also with great pride.
But, the return home to Gaza turned into a nightmare unimaginable to my readers. I wrote about it yesterday. I was unable to speak to him yesterday as his phone line had been tampered with and it was impossible to get hold of him. CNN also apparently tried to reach him for an interview and were unable to. I did speak to him a short while ago. He was sent home from the hospital yesterday but returned last night with severe chest pains, as a result of the beating he received. He is in good spirits despite the ordeal he experienced.
The zionists will stop at no length to silence the voice of the voiceless. The truth is the biggest enemy of theirs. Murder, beatings, incarcerations, there is no end to their attempts. This poor boy like many young men before him placed his trust in the soulless people of the “civilized world”. “I’ve got to get my hair done” or “I need to wash my car” these people have an innumerable amount of counter measures when it comes to being confronted with issues of significance. Long before any plea for help can be adequately disseminated by the masses one must first reverse the damage done by mainstream media, the very force behind the maintenance of the status quo.

For my part, I have just emailed Dutch MP van Baalen and will keep on his case that he follows up on his demand for an investigation. For what it’s worth. Israel’s policy makers and many of the security apparachniks have clearly gone mad from all these decades of hates and humiliations. Moral compass gone. Humanity gone. Empathy gone. Hopefully one day their freedom gone when they are convicted for crimes against humanity.
