The Brave and the Beautiful Lives of Our Times
Les Visible

We’ve been talking about the lying media and those who purport to be apart from the lying media as well as those who are actually presenting the truth; the voices in the wilderness, those that collect and present them, the urbane, the mundane, the articulate, the less intricate and the Jeremiahs on the mountaintop.
I’ve mentioned Rixon Stewart and Ragnar Johannessen. I’d like to add Mike James, Laura Knight-Jadczyk, Paola Pisi, Len Hart, Joe Quinn, Henry See, and I see where it could get complicated to read this. Although the numbers are small comparatively, they are large for the purposes of this brief tale. It further complicates when I consider the brilliant individuals that contribute to this site with their commentaries and which I cannot list because then it becomes a list and stops being what it is about.
Some of these people I have met in person and some I have not. I may be in or out of favor at a given time with any of them but that is what the truth is about. We do not always agree until we agree. For those who love the truth, agreement is eventually a fait accompli; sooner rather than later after a small musical number and an arrangement of seats.
If I didn’t mention someone then maybe I forgot. Maybe I have not encountered you and also, maybe you wouldn’t be on my list in any case; “Many are called but few are chosen.”
I have always been interested in spiritual things. I am far less interested in material things and the state of my life provides the evidence of that. I’m not a person who goes to war to stop a war. I prefer to wage peace. Unfortunately, since I am contained in this physical envelope in this world we share, I am among you and I see things. As a human being I feel compelled to say something about some of the things I see and therefore controversy will ensue. I would rather not have to engage. I would rather dance in the meadow and prepare food for my friends but… there are those who object to my given right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They do not object only to my right but yours as well. This I cannot countenance and so it goes.
I can’t say when I knew something was wrong about the 9/11 fable. It was probably very soon thereafter. When something puzzles me, I inquire and I inquire. So it is that I discovered Michael Rivero and www.whatreallyhappened.com and it changed my life. It is because I found this site that whatever has followed, has followed. Yes, I’ve been on the road to truth for awhile and that powerful desire was the first thing that opened my eyes, however… I would have known so much less and would never have met the people I mentioned were it not for Michael Rivero. You can learn a little about Michael at this location and in the succeeding one.
I think I speak for a great many people when I say that What Really Happened is where I get my news. Michael has the gifted ability to separate the truth from the bullshit and make it available to you. He’s a little like Fred Astaire with that. Primarily what I like about Michael is that he cares. When people care, they get my attention. Caring always involves some sacrifice. If you aren’t capable of sacrifice for the greater good, I don’t want to know you anyway.
On occasion people have said bad things to me about Michael. It comes with the territory. I’d be a fool not to look at what they say. The truth is more important to me than Michael. The truth is more important to me than me. There is no me without it. Otherwise you are living a lie and a lie will always come up against the truth eventually. Only the truth endures and that defines truth in a certain way where religion; metaphysics, archetypes, ideals, sciences, arts and language all touch but do not define. Everything touches something but the truth, like the cheese, stands alone.
After the first couple of times I didn’t bother looking anymore. I’m sure Michael makes mistakes. I know that I do. That doesn’t concern me. Intention concerns me and his intention is good. Things come and go and I don’t miss them. I’m not in this world to be here. I’m just passing through but I know I would miss what Michael does. It is important to me. It affirms me. It informs me. It’s essential to the trip. Michael is part of my roadmap and yours too.
I don’t think Michael or any of the others I mentioned does this for praise or profit. I don’t. I think we do it because it is the right thing to do. People seem to have a problem with doing the right thing. Part of the problem is that there are psychopaths among us who despise the right thing and delight in the wrong thing and the herd emulates them; serves them, sleeps with them, obeys them and wants to have what they have and figure that’s how you go about it. That’s not how you go about it. You don’t get what is yours by taking it from someone else when there is plenty to go around.
It’s not the right thing to murder people so that you can supplant them. It’s not the right thing to traffic in them and use them for canon fodder and target practice. It’s not the right thing to imprison people who object to the way you mistreat them. It’s not the right thing to rape and pillage and laugh about it over martinis with your banker friends. It’s not the right thing. It’s not the right thing. It’s not the way to go but fools will follow when bad men lead the way.
Michael Rivero has done something exceptional with his life and included you in it. I have tea with Michael every day but I never see him. It’s funny because for years we lived only a few miles from each other and I never even knew that he was there.
I’ve said it before. You have to trust somebody, sometime… These days, I’m just glad that someone makes it possible for me to trust them… the usual days of a fair shake and an even break are long gone in the mainstream but not where these souls swim. It’s still possible to get the truth if you know where to look and gratefully I do. It was because of Michael that I found The Truthseeker and Signs of the Times. It’s because of Michael that I found Uruknet and The People’s Voice even if one led to the other it is still what really happened to me.
I know that I left out some great people and efforts but I’m not writing War and Peace here. There’s only so much space. I’m just pointing out how I was helped in my understanding and led to finer things by some guy called Michael Rivero. Don’t be offended if I left you out. Tomorrow is another day.
Michael’s site is changing and some of us are going to be talking to each other now. I’m hoping for deeper colors but I will settle for the same deep truths. As a great Yogi once said, “It ain’t over till it’s over.” Let’s all spread a greater light by letting go of our own darkness. Because all the light wants is to come through. We only have to get out of the way.

yes – I use Whatshappening site as my soul (sic) source of info – his compilations continue to the best place to find the real dope. His infantile understanding of gun control and deaths is somewhat disturbing but he being an Amerikan may explain that aberration. Regardless I applaud him and you sir for pointing out his contribution to the cause of truth.
May your Gods or Nature or both bless you all – Pax vosbiscum – Lokis

I read WhatReallyHappened everyday.
If the site gets hacked, I feel lost.
Michael, we love you.
Keep up the good work. You give me hope. For that, and for your search for truth, I thank you.

WrH has won me many debates. And I do get the impression that the man’s heart is in the right place, wherever that place may be.

What the two posters above said…yes, exactly. Michael Rivero provides a one-stop shop for “What is Really Going On,” in addition to what really happened, i.e., historically accurate reporting. He updates his website constantly during the day — almost without fail including only articles of actual importance to the lives of real (non-brainwashed) people. If you want more stories/photos about Britney’s latest nether-region exposure, he’s not your man. On the other hand, if you want to know who is actually turning your country into the Fourth Reich, who’s causing the fuel price spike, who killed JFK, and who did 911 — you know, unimportant things — he IS your man. He is not quite conservative, not quite liberal, and not stupid about anything (although we do disagree on some issues). And he does correct, prominently, any errors he makes. What you will find on http://www.whatreallyhappened.com is a fair and accurate assessment of what is going down right now. Actual news, I would call it. If you are getting your “news” from the corporate propaganda operation (TV and newspaper “news”), you will be amazed, possibly infuriated, and definitely informed like you wouldn’t believe (until you try it). What are you waiting for? (Full disclosure: I have no connection to Michael Rivero at all, except that I feel I should be donating regularly to him for how much I use his news service.)

Just as Les found WRH and it became the road to other sites of truth, so it was with me. WRH has become my newspaper over afternoon tea and smokes. I found Raw Story and Oped through WRH. Les has, now, provided some other links I certainly will gravitate to.
I do skim over alot of the anti-Israel stuff, though. Not that the negative views are not often justified, but both sides wish to exterminate each other. That leaves me unable to be sympathetic to either.
The frequent links to Rense are always valued.
Rivero is the Jack Anderson of the net. Maybe he’s even the Angel Gabriel made flesh for these catastrophic times.

Mike & I got back a long time – internet wise. WRH is my main news source. Whenever the site is down for whatever reason, I feel like a rudder-less boat adrift in the sea of chaotic news. WRH puts the daily confusion into a comprehensible packet of information, without overload. His witty remarks are over the top — helping me keep my sense of humor — in spite of the anger and rage of feeling helpless in such a screwed up reality. Mike deserves all the kudos, including being coined as the “Modern Media Angel Gabriel” analogy. Good News is hardly what he editorializes — but excellent sources of information are the gold standard of the internet. Mike has never failed in this respect. Keep up the excellent work Mike.
Blessings to you and your oft mentioned wife. You are one great dude in my book!
Global Media Lightning Headlines at Yahoo.com & Celestial_Shamanka couldn’t get by a day without 20 visits to your site.

Micheal, I hope you read this. I have been addicted to your site for many years and I have to tell you that no matter where I go on the web none …absolutely none, compare to your quality, insight, or even your format. whatreallyhappened is the standard by which all other sites should be judged. Thank you from the bottom of my patriotic little heart.

Indeed, a very valuable source for REAL news. I don’t always agree with his take on events, but his comments have caused me to double-check my own “thought-barriers” from time to time. Excellent effort to bring intelligent information to folks who care about what’s really happening in the world. Imagine if Corporate media, with all their resources, did the same thing!

I log on to “Whatreallyhappened” every morning. As a Brit resident in Japan, the US domestic political emphasis often goes right passed me, but on UK and/or international stories, WRH covers issues that are ignored, or only mentioned in passing in the British MSM. “All the news without fear of favour”: The MSM are hardly stepping up to the plate.

It is part of my daily ritual before checking my email, WRH always comes first.
I am totally guilty of turning on hundreds of Australians to WRH, whereupon they nearly ALL gasp with baited-breath and ask, “How come this guy is still alive?”.
Thank you Michael for supplying me with extra information the mainstream media are gutless to print!

I’m in Canada, and WRH is hands down my news source. I can’t remember exactly how I found it or when(been so long), but I’ve been to it several times a day, every day, since. When it goes down, I’m ready to take up arms to bring it back(if that’s what it took). Michael’s the closest thing we have to a hero in the world right now. If knowledge is power, his readers are Supermen.

Michael does a fantastic job of presenting the evils of the world as they are…and his background is IMPRESSIVE: NASA Technician, Television Special Effects Technician, now host of his own radio show [which I listen to nighty!]; it’s amazing how he manages to do what he does every day – keep on kicking scumbag ass, Michael!

Oh…lest I forget…LOKIS…what problem have you really with MR’s views on gun control? It’s a very simple and straightforward correllation:
Anti-Gun=Pro-Crime
I’ve never been a big fan of stats, but they bear out in this instance. If a criminal thinks that there’s ANY CHANCE that you will respond to his intrusion with both barrels blazing, I daresay he’ll opt for easier pastures.
There are plenty of those li’l wannabe gangbangers terrorizing the elderly and invalid with their pea-shooters…if there was a chance that ol’ Granny could whip out a .38 and plug the little bastards, don’t you think they’ll think twice before going on a spree?

Michael Rivero has always been the brightest of Stars to me. On my darkest days of despair when the Constitution of the United States was being gang-raped but a bunch of self interested war profiteering criminals, many of them appointed US Federal officals, some of them elected representatives and senators, Michael Rivero was always there to give me hope that in the end Truth and the set of principles that are the Constitution of the United Staes of America would and will previal. Thank You Sir!

I couldn’t agree more with this article. I discovered Micheal Rivero many years ago now and What really happened has become my mainstay news outlet along with Rense.com. In a world full of misinformation, disinformation having access to Micheal’s and Jeff’s sites make keeping up with the truth of the world so much easier. In short both Micheal and Jeff are heroes to me because they show that integrity, truth and conviction still exist in the media all be it alternative. Mainstream media has now become so compliant to the elites that it is incapable of telling the truth anymore, which makes sites like Micheal’s the only way for people to get to the crux of what is going on.
So bravo Micheal, people like me depend on you to get the truth and you have done it admirably.

I’ve been an almost daily viewer of WRH since about mid-2004. It was the first place I started to learn about 9/11 being an inside job. While I don’t always agree with Mike’s viewpoints, he does tell the truth as best he can. No doubt about that. I have found that most of his forecasts, predictions and claims are pretty darn accurate too. Sometimes he jumps the gun a little bit and gets something wrong, but 9 out of 10 times his gut instincts are a bullseye. Way better than any other media reporter these days.
Mike, your work has made a huge difference in this country. Thanks to your efforts, there are less sheeple in the world.

I disagree very strongly with Michael Rivero on several issues. I know this well because I have been following his website daily since shortly after 9/11. No other site on the web does as good a job at digging up the news that gets buried in the daily shitstorm of infotainment. I am grateful that he has the time to do the good work he does. I consider Mr. Rivero and Pat Buchanan to be a members of the same very very small club, conseratives that I respect.
