Last night the Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, announced to the nation that he will step down from his post. On the 17th of September, his leading Party, Kadima will hold a leadership convention and and the ‘winner’ will become the new Prime Minister. That is how ‘Democracy’ works in the only Democratic country in the Middle East… the people themselves have no actual say in the matter.
No matter who the ‘winner’ might be, the peoples of both Israel and Palestine become the losers. There is no one within the ranks of the Party founded by the ‘butcher himself’, the ‘almost late’ Ariel Sharon, no one that will become a genuine partner for peace is in the running.
In reality, the Jewish people have not had a real leader since Moses. All the fuss created by Olmert’s resignation is totally unfounded. Nothing positive was accomplished during his tenure, the illegal settlements continued to be expanded, the wall of apartheid continued to be built, Palestinian children have been slaughtered as a regular practice. The ‘peace process’ that he was involved in is nothing but a farce that will lead nowhere as long as representatives of the Palestinian electorate are absent from the proceedings.
The physical division of Palestine and the near total destruction of one entire segment is a true demonstration of his non desire for peace. The siege of Gaza is Olmert’s ‘crown jewel of zionism’, coming only close second to Israel’s attempted destruction of Lebanon two years ago. The backing that was given to his government by other members of the coalition demonstrates the total failure of the zionist dream, a dream that in actuality has turned into a nazi nightmare.
So yes, Israel has been plunged into an age of uncertainty, but Olmert’s resignation has nothing to do with it.

Whoever succeeds Olmert will not automatically become the Prime Minister of the Knesset – they will first have to ensure that they have a coalition government with which to work, otherwise they are merely the leader of Kadima; nothing more, nothing less. Benjamin Iwannbombyou of Likud will not likely agree to a new coalition when the prospect of an election delivering the keys to the kingdom into his blood-covered hands.
Other than that, great news … HALLELUJAH!!! (sorry … got a bit carried away there …).

Jews may return to Middle East and those fakeones Nazi like will be remove forever.
Every dictator in history was defeated so this most dangerous to ALL humanity will be and has to be destroyed while whole nations will watch over the trail with fashist regime occupaing Palestine.
Zionism is most criminal ideology affecting negatively whole world.
Every step taken to expose Israels crimes and to protect brave Palestine people is step to bring dead to zionism and bring WHOLE WORLD closer to

I’m just wondering, if Olmert resigns will they be able to try him as a war criminal for the atrocities committed in Lebanon in 2006?

I bet Netanyahu is going to step in and take over. That’ll really shake things up in a bad way!
