    Get real. Obama is not change but more of the same. Our children will fly to new heights of understanding only if they see through the deception and lies to see the world as it really is. Obama is surrounding himself and nominating for key positions in his cabinet the people that lied us into a war. He is a supporter of the horrible fiction called the “War on Terror” which has killed hundreds of thousands and help bring about more totalitarian states worldwide. Haven’t we been fooled enough people?

    It is sad that at the dawning of the Twenty First Century a president elect is perceived/appreciated for his “race” heritage by some rather than academic achievement/competence, as well as the opportunities created by the Free-Market-Capitalism and the Glorious Constitution of the USA supporting the Rights of citizens to vote.

    Hmmmmmmmmm, if only all of that were true. The last seven words are most definitely false.

    The neo-cons are now becoming neo-libs and I very sadly see very little change in the attitudes and policies of the new administration from the old one.

    What they SAY is different, but looking at who is being put in the seats of power, what they DO will be much more of the same.

    I do not see a return to the values enshrined in the constitution and bill of rights.

    I do not see a diminishing of the heavy hand of the state against formerly free people, through illegal wiretaps and detention without trial and extraordinary rendition etc etc…

    I do not see Obama removing the totalitarian toolkit that Bush put in place to be used against so called “terrorists” (in reality peace campaigners and dissidents, or ordinary Pakistani taxi drivers). In fact I see him using these tools against so called “deniers” of man made global warming. In-spite of more and more eminent scientists coming out with peer reviewed data and papers denouncing AGW.

    I do not see Obama reducing the slavish devotion to the rogue state of Israel. A state that has weapons of mass destruction, routinely abuses and tortures innocent people by the thousand, commits atrocities against civilian targets and has more UN resolutions against them than Iraq had.

    I do not see Obama reducing the dangerous American hostility to Russia. He supported every lie Bush told about the Russian “invasion” of Sovereign Georgia, even when in reality it was a defensive move against Georgian aggression towards Russian nationals and UN and EU approved peace-keepers in breach of a 1992 UN agreement.

    Sorry that this may upset some people that were seriously looking forward to the end of the Bush nightmare. I was too. Bush is a vile tyrant. Unfortunately, Obama is too, except that he is just a tyrant with a more eloquent speaking manner.

    Obama is NOT the messiah, or the healer of America’s ills. Sorry about that, but it is the truth.

    We will see – first even if he gets to be President – Bush may not want to go – knowing his next domicile may be in the Hague – but I guess Osama is picking the same neocon clowns who have made Amerika the cesspool of corruption it has become so George and him will share a drink and GW will be off to Paraguay .     1) appointing old Clinton cabinet members!
    2) Not ending the wars immediately!
    3) pardoning or not prosecuting Bush and Cheney and their administration for war crimes, fraud, etc!

    I am the most pissed off because I voted for him to keep another Republican out of the office!! He better step up, or he will be the First Black president that Failed!

    Wake up people! Those of you who actually believe in obama are going to be sadly surprised by who he really is–at what point will you face reality?
    Certainly, not during the election.

    The reality is… he is a salesman–a con man–willing to say anything to get elected. This includes hypnosis. There are several research papers written by therapists that outline his use of conversational hypnosis in his speech patterns–that is why his speeches never SAID anything. He was working on your subconscious. If you believe in this man you are either under hypnosis or in denial. Either way–wake up–don’t let him take advantage of you this way!

    What we are viewing here regarding Obama and his proposed picks for his administration is same, old same, old as he seems to be picking the same disastrous gang that pontificated in past administrations . I would truly be surprised if there were any marked difference in foreign policy solutions with regard the upcoming administration .

    Meanwhile, the one candidate that would have saved this country (Ron Paul) from the current communist banking takeover, freed millions of non-violent criminal’s from prison (the majority black), ended these unconstitutional wars and changed our foreign policy to one of peace and trade, would have ended NAFTA/CAFTA,not to mention the Income Tax and The unFederal Reserve, was himself labeled a “rascist”, “conspiracy theorist”, and on and on.
