IT TAKES MORE THAN A DREAM TO CHANGE THE WORLD

*
Forty nine years ago today we all shared a dream with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The main message of it was; ( speech on YouTube at end of post)
And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!
*
Forty nine years later we are still far from free. The dream has turned into a nightmare! Instead of men joining hands we see ….

Needless to say, the above was NOT a part of the dream. But, the dream can still become a reality if we all do our bit to make it so.
*
The marches continue, the Peoples’ Movements continue to grow. All efforts must continue until WE ARE FREE AT LAST!
*
Kudos to the Occupy Wall Street Movement for helping bring that day closer.

How exactly is the Occupy movement dong more than dreaming? They chant, they march, they get arrested. They bother the establishment not one bit. This changes the world how?

By raising issues and raising the awareness of the people.

It will take an Awakening greater than ever experienced in this world before, to enable people to stop bullying others – no matter how correct and justified they feel themselves to be in their assumptions, reasoning and premises – and for the rest of us to stop being passive in the face of such bullying –

I wonder if we could stop being passive by beginning to *LAUGH* at the bullies, in public?

To laugh at the so serious soldiers and the militarized police –

To laugh at the fraudulent banksters –

To laugh at the checkpoints –

To laugh at the specious legal justifications deployed by these contortionists –

They are too slow and too stupid to change their tactics. They are not nimble, nor are they creative.

Perhaps we need to Josh(ua) them with full-hearted LAUGHTER !

Paul may be onto something; the more daring could even orchestrate pranks that get them to expose themselves,(be careful not to create pranks that backfire-careful forethought is important)
This could scare them worse than any violent reaction(that they are counting on) in that they cannot control or even predict calculated silliness, & the more they try to repress it, the worse they look.
Best idea I’ve heard in awhile…..
