YouTube Blocks Anti-Islam Movie in Egypt, Libya

Afghan Officials Also Move Against ‘Innocence of Muslims’

YouTube, the video website owned by Google Inc, said on Wednesday it would not remove a film clip mocking the Islamic Prophet Muhammad that has been blamed for anti-U.S. protests in Egypt and Libya, but it has blocked access to it in those countries.

The clip, based on a longer film, depicts the prophet as a fraud and philanderer and has been blamed for sparking violence at U.S. embassies in Cairo and Benghazi. The U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, and three other American diplomats were killed in an attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi on Tuesday.

“This video – which is widely available on the Web – is clearly within our guidelines and so will stay on YouTube,” Google said in a statement. “However, given the very difficult situation in Libya and Egypt, we have temporarily restricted access in both countries. Our hearts are with the families of the people murdered in yesterday’s attack in Libya.”

The 14-minute clip is a trailer for a film called the “Innocence of Muslims,” produced by a man who described himself as a California-based Israeli Jew named Sam Bacile.

Google has generally adopted a hands-off approach to political speech, although its “community guidelines” prohibit “hate speech,” including speech that attacks or demeans a group based on religion.

“We work hard to create a community everyone can enjoy and which also enables people to express different opinions,” Google said in its statement. “This can be a challenge because what’s OK in one country can be offensive elsewhere.”

In the past, Google has selectively filtered videos that violate local laws.

On Wednesday, Afghanistan’s general director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Communications, Aimal Marjan, told Reuters, “We have been told to shut down YouTube to the Afghan public until the video is taken down.”

They don’t mind criticism of anyone, just themselves. That’s what their community guidelines are there for. Gagging the truth from being heard.

Look at the timing of this movie….the 11th anniversary of 9/11 demands answers…people of the world have had enough of zionist lies and crimes against humanity…this movie was commissioned to be released at this time to divert, deflect and divide…. 9/11 masterminds can no
longer frame the blame on Islam….Producer Israeli-American Sam Im-Bacile, a real estate developer living in Southern California is a sworn enemy of Islam. Bacile thanks hundreds of Jewish donations totaling USD 5 million to make this desecration….. this was a planned operation that they hope will allow them the excuse to deploy another false flag to fuel the wars they so badly need….so predictable..

‘Freedom of speech does not give one the right to shout fire in a crowded theater’ – Oliver Wendell Holmes Look what the US gov. did to Susan Lindauer (author, “Besieged Patriot”) and attempted to do to author of “Fair Game”. Mr. Bacille would probably live longer in prison, although that would be a terrible waste of tax money.

A movie that causes offense to muslims get them to attack western targets and with loss of life equals “Nasty Evil Muslims” which will probably get blamed on Iran also equals “Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran” which probably points to a Middle Eastern country that wants to “Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran”.

In reference to Walter’s comment, I would only mention that Susan Lindauer was the author of “Extreme Predjudice”, describing her ordeal with former president Bush’s Justice department, and her release from illegal incarceration by Mr. Obama’s administration. As for Mr. Bacile, it would appear that he has fled to Israel, like so many dual nationals sought by the Justice department for crimes committed in the US. The question remains, was this targeted, well planned attack and murders of US personnel a Mossad operation? The timing is most suspicous.

There are hate crime laws in the US, some for trivial matters. You’d think that insulting a persons religion would qualify, at least in a public way like this deliberate provocation and filthy film. That’s what Justice Holmes meant in his famous quotation; you don’t see Muslims going into Synegogues and shouting fire, do you? Why then are hate crime laws mostly only enforced in favour of jews? Germany is the worst example of hate crime laws gone crazy, where one cannot even examine history in an impartial manner. Religion should be protected, however, because films like this (or that disgraceful example in Israel showing the mocking of Christ) trample on the honest devotion of the faithful and thereby constitute a major infringement on their rights.
