Olmert at AIPAC: United with Bush on Iran

Report says Olmert will try to convince Bush to ignore NIE report that said Iran has no nuke weapons

June 4 – Just as the Democratic Party was securing its nominee during their South Dakota and Montana primaries last night, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was giving a speech to more than 7,000 people at the AIPAC dinner in Washington with possibly just as much consequence on the future of America’s foreign policy.

In the midst of a conference that has been immersed in the question of how to deal with the conceived threat Iran presents, Olmert encouraged sanctions on Iran and nations that refine gasoline for Iran, and called for nations to make it clear that Iranian businesses are not welcome within their borders. He based this on the grounds that Iran is the world’s “largest exporter of terrorism” and that the country’s “defiance of international resolutions and its continued tactics of deception and denial leave no doubt as to the urgent need for more drastic and robust measures.”

This the same day Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz reported that Olmert will “try to convince Bush to set aside the national intelligence Estimate on Iran’s nuclear program in favor of data presented by Israel, and determine the administration’s policy on Iran accordingly.”

With John McCain and Condoleezza Rice in the sidelines taking equally hostile positions on Iran at the conference, Olmert has managed to take the stage in an effort to convince Bush something must be done with Iran immediately despite the accusations of corruption, and even threat of losing his job, he faces at home.

Well, I certainly hope that this cannot be true, only because the alternative will be horrific. I confess to being tempted to hide my head in the sand, and reassure myself that…nah, its just noises being made in the halls of power. But MY GOD!!! NOOOOO!! How does one not give in to the very human fear of hysteria due to the brayings of these monsters? Does anyone realize just what this might mean??? I’ve seen the photos of Abu ghraib prison, I seen the innocent children ruined, RUINED because of depleted uranium. And now, we are looking at the possible end of this system of things that will make all other “holocausts” appear juvenile by comparison. Thank you , desertpeace, for allowing these news items, but wow! You are to be commended for telling it like it is, its just very scary. Peace. ( I hope)

The Americans may be able to drop some bombs on Iran but they’re not capable of INVADING Iran.

Neither the Americans nor the Israelis will do anything except talk tuff, as usual.

They’ve been threatening Iran for five years or more but have done nothing. Their glory days are past. Iran can punch back hard and both the Americans and Israelis know it. Neither is going to initiate an unprovoked fight with the Persians.

Tom W, it may not be necessary to INVADE Iran, but rather to just smash it up as a functional state. Is this a possibility, from the p.o.v. of the warmakers?

The headline is somewhat deceptive. Obviously American elites are not controlled by Israel, they partner with Israel as part of a linking strategy for State Capitalism being imposed on Earth. The ideology behind these wars is not exclusively Zionist, it is Fascist. Zionism came from the same soil as Fascism. However, Fascism came from the USA and England. Control of all the resources of Earth is the objective of Wall Street and London. Israel is simply a pawn to get that control.

The “EXTENT” that we impose our will on another, is the gauge, of our own enslavement.

    Armageddon means, “Lifting the veil,”

    Revelations are good things…

It doesn’t mean bombed to hell…unless we script it that way.

We are seeing what we do not prefer anymore…

    All is revealed.

Obama’s speech to AIPAC demonstrates clearly that the Palestinians are finished. His comments laud Israel and promise unqualified American aid and military support both now and into the future.

It was the speech of a sycophant, an Israel apologist, an opportunistic politician.

I’d hoped for so much. Obama delivered so little.

  9. June 5, 2008 at 09:20

    Tom Westergaard,

There is this common delusion that man is completely in control of the events on this planet; that it is possible to threaten war continually; but, then, pull back at precisely the right moment to prevent things from *completely* spinning out of control.

Three problems with this: 1) the law of unintended consequences, 2) miscalculation–that is, war by *accident*; and, 3) the Will of God as to whether this civilization even *deserves* to continue in its present condition.

World War I was started by the assassination of one person.

How many people could have predicted in May of that year that, by December, hundreds of thousands of European soldiers would have been slaughtered?

All of the mechanisms were in place; all that was needed was the spark.

If you look at the situation in the Middle East, it is early 20th century Europe on steroids.

One spark–who knows where it will come?–can explode into something much more horrific than even World War I.

And, if it is the Will of God that this evil civilization finally suffer the consequences of its evil, man will *certainly* not be able to prevent it.

Iran is fully aware Satan is alive an well and ready to push the button. All we can hope for is a World War III will finish this and all the holocaust falls right on the governments head, so the people can live again in peace. Our governments are terrorizing the world with laws and bombs because they don’t want to get caught with the staged 911 attack and their global conspiracy to take over the world. We are all here temporarily, THANK GOD we only live 80 years. I just hope they all BURN IN HELL FOR ETERNITY for all the killing the have committed!

My spiritual beliefs have always led to holding each of us responsible for our own actions. This works on a small level, but lately the totality of evil exhibited by the U.S. and Israel, in the form of Bush and Olmert, has blown away my long held views. The loss of lives, the maimings and the complete and utter disregard for human life is absolute. It’s like a mantra to these monsters. And I feel there’s so little I can do personally; I read the blogs, keep up on the “real” news, but ache from an inability to make my voice heard. Democracy is gone. Decency is gone. But I will fight these monsters by my own will of what is good and decent.

It would be insane to attack Iran.
Russia is fully behind Iran – with lots, I’m sure, of ICBM’s pointed right at the US.
Israel is the little tough kid who always runs to his big brother to finish the fight he started. Unfortunately, the big brother isn’t too bright and doesn’t think through the consequences before fists start flying.

As an aside, for being a grown up “democracy” and being 60 years old, it’s about time to cut off Israel’s “allowance”. I wish Obama would have spoken like a good parent instead of spoiling the selfish brat with the 30 Billion Dollar promise!

  20. June 5, 2008 at 19:27

First of all, they will *not* burn in hell only for all eternity.

It is much worse than that.

They won’t even *get* to hell until they suffer untold lives of suffering for the evil that they have done. (Probably one of the most ignored of all the Revelations in the Koran is the passage which states that ‘*Everyone* goes to hell, but the righteous are released from hell.’–or something to that effect.)

In any case, no one believes in hell anymore. It is not ‘politically correct’, so there are *no* constraints on human behavior.

The real-world orientation of the Doctrine of “resurrection”, however, by which you will be punished in future lives for the evil you have committed if not in this life, threatens the priestly *power* of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious ‘authorities’, which is why you will never hear about it.

But irrespective of what they may *think*, what they don’t know *can* hurt them.

If they could remember that they had lived before, they would most likely not commit such horrific acts of violence.

But they will be ‘raised from the dead’ whether or not they believe it.

In the Eastern religions it’s referred to as “karma”. In the monotheistic Revelations it’s referred to as the Righteousness of the Creator.

    Hang on.

    Their time is *short*.

I think it’s vitally important to grasp the strategy being employed by the US and Israel.

The Bait- the real objective of bombing targets in Iran is to provke the Iranians into swarming across the border into Iraq. A limited bombing campaign will not achieve any real military objectives.

The Trap- once the Iranians oblige by crossing into Iraq the nukes will come out. This is what the Israelis really want to happen- the total destruction of Iranian military capabilities.

The justification for the use of tactial nukes will be the protection of US ground forces against a numerically superior Iranian military in an all out ground assault.

Does anyone remember last August when the nukes from North Dakota mysteriously made their way to Louisiana. Specifically, to an air base where war materials are staged and then flown to the Middle Eastern theatre of operations. Does anyone really believe the “accident” explanation given by the DOD in the face of the unbelieveable security and multiple redundant checks and failsafes involved when handling or moving nukes.

I’d say it’s time to get ready for WWIII. I suspect that both Israel and the US are prepared for a nuclear face off with Russia should Putin decide to join the fray. Hold on Hilda it’s gonna get ugly!

“American Military Owns. No country would last a week.”

That is rubbish. The USA has not won a war since 1945. Sooner or later they always have to run and their victims are left to pick up the pieces of their country, now that “Amerikan Democracy and Freedom” is no longer raining down on their heads in the form of bombs and bullets.

The US military is also sick and run by the poorest officers left since so many good ones have gotten out lately. Meanwhile Russia and China are unlikely to let Iran get seriously damaged before reacting and they are both strong and their leaders are vastly more capable than the US and Israeli fools.

US technological superiority is not worth as much as most think and in fact is likely to become a sever liability in a sustained all out war.

I think this will be their swan-song, their Waterloo and Israel’s too.

I surely hope so and will dance with the rest of the survivors on their gravestones….

No one capable of rational thought could say that America could be defeated easily. The reason for us losing wars since WWII is because the American puplic has no stomach for foreign wars in which are not directly attacked. The public would not and does not support a war on Iran unless attacked first. We are a warring people, and do not hesitate to fight, especially when attacked.

That said, the taking of Baghdad was the most successful military campaign in history. Most Americans do not support our staying in Iraq to “win the peace”. Most would be happier if we just annihilated the place, and left.

The policy of mutually assured destruction will keep Russia at bay. It has for decades. Why would Russia support Iran against the US? There is no angle in it for them.

China is full to the brim with investments in US Treasury bonds and dollars. They don’t care about Iran either and are not friendly with Russia. Richard Nixon made sure of that when he reached out to them first and further marginalized the then Soviet Union. Now the US is their best customer. Do you back Iran and or Russia against the only Superpower who happens also to be your best customer. Of course not.

I don’t mind the Iran/Russia/China will destroy US hyperbole, but I doubt those who have commented so far have a clue what they are talking about.

At this point, Iran would have to fight a war on two fronts. Bear in mind they haven’t fought a war in decades, Plus the US already has the navy and air force in place, currently within striking distance. Iran would not stand a chance, as our missiles can hit them and they could only pray to hit Israel.

Israel has never lost a war, and that was before they had nukes.

Take all of these things into account, and then decide which horse you would place your money on.

The U.S.A. is in debt to China that it is impossible to ever pay it back and
G W Bush borrowed it to pay for the illegal invasion of Iraq. Taking Baghdad
was no big achievement, they didnt have much of a military to fight back with.
Bush only attacks small countries with little or no military because he knows
our military is running out of volunteers so this year they have been allowing
ex-cons to join, getting desperate, China and Russia would do away with
America in a week, our fighter planes are 24 years old with some coming
apart in flight. Tanks wont run, Ammo is terrible (not enough powder in them)

Anyone that doesnt think China and Russia would do away with America needs to do some serious re-search.

No and no. There is several reasons why US attacked Iraq after the 9/11 staging.. They needed to have permanent bases in M. East where they can launch the next offensive whether it is Syria, Iran or Pakistan (something clearly tells me the airstrike on those 11 pakistani soldiers was not an incident) for its OIL.. the fact is that this is part of the NWO plan. also there IS ABSOLUTELY NO “WAR ON TERROR”, its all lies and theres no real enemies either

As for China, US already used it’s HAARP weapon on them, while most people believe it was a natural disaster, well I can safely say it wasn’t a disaster, even The United American Freedom Founding (UAFF) says in their site -> “HAARP is an earthquake machine. Also based on a bunch of weird stuff Tesla discovered. Somewhat offset by the fact the HAARP array is clearly pointed at the sky.”. The use of this weapon on China can only mean one thing, to soften China and other possible superpowers in case they want to retaliate on US against their WORLD domination agenda. After all the earthquake hit the area with supposedly gas, makes you wonder.

While most of you might think I’m radical by saying this, well call me whatever you want, not to mention that there’s already 600 FEMA Death Camps through out US waiting for the inevitable.
