Go to Daryl Cagle’s best cartoons of the day – it’s a goldmine of Bush legacy cartoons and a million others. Best.

Someone needs to draw a caricature of Bush on his knees under his desk searching for weapons of masss destruction. This was perhaps the most insensitive, hideous, callous display imaginable of his lack of concern for those who have been killed.

A really good political cartoonist, is one that can make a person laugh, and yet, say to themselves, how absolutely true.
These cartoons do just that, especially the first one.

I am dissapointed. Caricatures make that dummy look nicer than he is in reality. Also caricatures of that content are so obvious that they have no actuall value. In case of use of s wast ika around real effect would be done.

Morality is derived from objective reality by animals with conscious awareness of existence and volitional free will. The essential principle of morality is the choice to live or to die. All that an animal with conscious awareness of existence and volitional free will (man qua man for example) does in pursuit of continuing, promoting, extending, procreating, defending, enhancing, or improving its own life is positive and good morality. The absence of the good is evil. When man qua man defends herself from those who would take her life or property, she is acting in a morally positive and good manner. Any animal with conscious awareness of existence and volitional free will that acts to defend itself or its essential interests is acting in compliance with the good, with the positive morality.

If the Russian military was acting to defend its life or essential interest by destroying the military power of Georgia, then their acts were good. If the Georgia military was acting to defend its life or essential interest by attacking the unarmed civilian population of South Ossetia, then it was acting in accord with the good. The United States military is acting in accord with the good by its war against Saddam Hussein while the dictator’s government was not a direct threat to the United States, its support of Islamic terrorism rendered it evil. However, it would have been more appropriate for the United States to have assisted the Iraqi resistance achieve the good by overthrowing Saddam instead of destroying the State of Iraq.

An excellent essay on the Iraq war is linked below.
