OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — Muslim and Christian leaders across the occupied Palestinian lands are shocked with repeated Israeli insults of the prophets and religious sanctities.

“I don’t really know when Jews will start to respect the religious sensitivities of non-Jews,” the Chief religious judge of Palestine, Dr. Taysir Tamimi, told on Saturday, February 28.

“It is very shocking and very telling that Jewish religious leaders in Israel and abroad have not condemned these blasphemous acts.”

Israeli media shocked millions of Muslims and Christians last week by mocking Jesus, his mother Mary and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him).

A TV comedy skit, hosted by Israeli comedian Lior Shlein, last week depicted Jesus as being “too fat” to have walked on water and that Mary was not virgin.

The insult came after the host angered million of Muslims when he pointed to one of his shoes, saying “This is Muhammad.”

“Muslims throughout the world have been shocked by the evil campaign waged against Islam and the Prophet (PBUH) and abuse of this shameful campaign against the sanctities with insults addressed against the Prophet and a religion followed by more than 1.5 billion Muslims,” said Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

“This shameful conduct came a few days after broadcasting insulting rhetoric against Prophet Jesus and his virgin mother, Mary, peace be upon them.”

Wicked, blasphemous

Salim Kubti, a lawyer representing Christian courts in Israel, said he was considering a libel suit against Channel-10, which hosted the comedy show.

“Such remarks go beyond satire and dark humor,” he told IOL.

“These are serious utterances insulting the sensibilities of every Christian and anyone who possesses values and mutual respect for other religions.

“It’s clear that Shlein is a failure and as a result is looking for any way to improve his ratings, and he is jumping on a sensitive issue.”

The Vatican labeled the Israeli show “a vulgar and offensive act of intolerance toward the religious sentiments of the believers in Christ.”

Some Christian leaders and clergymen even Pope Benedict XVI to postpone or cancel his planned visit to Israel, scheduled to take place in May.

The outcry forced outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to apologize for Pope Benedict XVI, saying the comedy segment didn’t represent Israel’s views.

IOL has contacted some Jewish leaders for comment, but they refused to talk.

Muslim leaders also denounced the Israeli TV show, calling it “wicked and blasphemous.”

“We believe in freedom of expression, but we don’t believe in freedom of vulgarity and blasphemy,” Ikrema Sabri, head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem), said in the weekly Friday sermon.

“You can’t insult and offend people under the pretext of freedom of expression.”

He said the “apparent acquiescence” of the Israeli government to these vulgarities reflected “malice and ill-will” toward Muslims, calling on Muslims worldwide to send an “unmistakable warning” to Israel to refrain from insulting religious symbols.

Israel has a long history of showing disrespect to Muslim and Christian faiths.

In 1948, the Israeli army and paramilitary Jewish groups systematically destroyed hundreds of mosques in Palestine in an effort to obliterate the country’s Arab-Islamic identity.

Mosques left intact, such as the Beir al Saba’a Mosque, were converted into bars or brothels. Others were simply left to fall into disrepair.

Shortly after the 1967 Middle East war, the chief rabbi of the Israeli army, Shlomo Gorin, urged the military to blow up Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest shrine, “once and for all”.

In January 1984, armed Jewish extremists, led by Rabbi Moshe Levinger, one of the leaders of Gush Emunim, the Jewish settler movement, attempted to dynamite and destroy Al-Aqsa mosque.

Jewish insults of Muslim and Christian symbols became more common and audacious in recent years.

Nearly ten years ago, a Jewish immigrant from the former Soviet Union drew an offensive image depicting Prophet Muhammad as a pig writing the Qur’an.

In 2006, a Jewish couple walked into the Basilica of Annunciation Church in the Arab town of Nazareth in Israel, carrying 19 gas canisters, bottles of turpentine and kerosene, 64 firecrackers and 25 rocket-shaped fireworks.

The couple placed the fireworks and the gas canisters in a corner then poured kerosene on them, causing a fire.

Moreover, Yeshiva (Talmudic school) students have been spitting on Christian clergymen in Al-Quds and breaking their crucifixes.

Some other fanatical Jews don’t hesitate to refer to Jesus as “Hitler of Bethlehem.”

Proof that the ‘Judeo-Christian’ values is a fiction and that we are all animals to be used and abused according to the Talmud. Absolutely NONE of this makes it into US ‘mainsteam’ media. The only things we see are our politicians proclaiming loyalty and delusions like ‘We are all Israeli’ when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. These zionist extremists are even worse than Muslim or Christian because their hate is now protected across Europe and the USA under ‘hate laws’ where you are imprisoned for anything from questioning the propoganda version of WW2 to calling for embargo/divestment of Israel and Israeli products. On another note a foreign power committed an blatant act of war against the USA on Sept. 11, 2008 and nearly succeeded but our own elected not only refuse to acknowledge it but when mentioned they dismiss it. And they have penetrated every single level of US Government and surround our President.
Why is the US being looted and the people being treated like cattle while our leaders smile and nod and things just get worse?

Part of the Zionist agenda is to rip down belief systems and to have NO respect. Even my ancient Mother remembers the comedians of the 40’s and 50’s with their “schtick” and said for the times they were foul mouthed and dirty minded. Through manipulation of media they have lowered standards around the world. This is part of their manipulation of their own people as well. I am not surprised. Look at the crap they create in Hollywood and the effect it has had on North American culture! I have written a fair bit about this in my blog but this is a new low for them. Well.. I take that back! Just a continuation of their lowness and disrespect for all others but Zionists with their political agenda.

According to the Anti-Defamation League themselves, they fight extremism, terrorism and hatred; combating anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds to make the world a better place. Foxman the chief of ADL should be front and center denouncing these acts of blatant hatred. Does this noble cause extend to only a chosen few? Inequality can lead to extreme terror. Go ask Gaza.

I don’t care if people insult Christ. That’s part of the freedom he has given men, the freedom not to believe. Indeed, not all are intended to believe although God is willing that none be lost. He was only physically violent once in his life, but never with non-believers. Only those who came into hsi house to buy and sell goods.

To the non-believers he never raised his hand. He even respected and healed the Roman soldiers who led him away to his death at the behest of the jews.

Now, contrast this to the horrible “crime” of not believing the holocaust happened in exactly the way you are told. Deviate from this teaching on any point, and the jews will happily have you tossed into prison, as dissent itself isn’t an “opinion” but a “crime”

Do not be fooled – This kind of disassociation is not just simple hypocrisy.

It is the product of a nation of psychopathic personalities. Look up the traits and characteristics of the psychopath and you will find it in every way perfectly aligned with the teachings of talmudic judaism. Therefore, it is fair to say that talmudic judaism serves as little more than a recipe, road map and social support structure for institutionalizing psychopathic behavior across entire generations of jews.

I strongly suspect that in the coming months and years their behaviors will be rejected by society. As in the past, their arrogance and overreach will become obvious, leading, inevitably, to another pogrom.

Examples of hate crimes committed by Jews. Where is the outrage? They should be tried, convicted and imprisoned for hate speech.

“Hitler of Bethlehem” – not heard that one before.

the three religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam of course have very close origins. So how could religious Jews behave like this ?

the answer is that they cannot and they do not – the violent squatters of Israel and their “Rabbis” have no more to do with Judaism than Jack-the-Ripper had to do with the Church of England.

the “Hitler of Bethlehem” – if He was still around in mortal form, they would kill Him: just like they did the anti-Zionist Rabbi Teitelbaum in Mumbai.

oh sorry, didn’t you know that Zionists began by killing Jews – and still do ?

Totally agree with you. I always say; Zionism is to Judaism as Al Qaeda is to Muslimism. The majority of people worldwide are capable of seeing a distinction between Muslims and Al Qaeda, however, people have no clue what Zionism represents. They tend to use the words “Jewish” and Zionist” interchangeably, this is a real problem. Only when the world’s population realises that Zionism is a radicalization of Judaism akin to terrorists will anything ever change.

To Number 6 (JHoffa): All of the Christian Bible is characteristically psychopathic, not just the Jewish Talmud. I have only read portions of the Koran, but I suspect it contains elements of psychopathic behavior throughout because it comes from the same source–Abrahamic religion.

Perhaps it would be fine if Iran became a nuclear power. It would put the nuclear Israel in Check. Or, maybe they would just wipe each other out.

Today’s technology is starting to shed more light on the holocaust years. Examination of site evidence or the accuracy of stories told is presenting a different story than we were led to believe. The truth is catching up to the lies. So this history is still under scrutiny, but time is running out. What side is the media on? How is the story told? For i think if it is ‘wrong’ to believe that the holocaust never existed as it is told then it is also ‘wrong’ for a group of people to believe that they are God’s chosen people. This belief is totally irresponsible to the rest of the world religions that strive to live amicably as neighbors. This way of thinking is arrogant and self-righteous and certainly is not God given. This way of thinking is dangerous to any peace that can ever come about. It truly is a sad world we live in when governments, media continue to tell or report what they want us to believe. What is truth?

ADL’s so-called “anti-racism” propaganda is just a smokescreen. The organization, especially Abe Foxman – is Israelu mole in the US and one of the biggest bigot when it come to Christianity. He is one who demanded that the New Testament teaches “anti-Semitism” and all Christ’s anti-Jewish quotes be removed from the Bible.

Israel, you think you control Canada? Guess again.

You corporate-cultists still think your little bitch PM Harper, and his neo commie conservatives (now on life support) can keep on hanging around the place, waiting for the right moment?

Conservatives are the mold from which the false christ will build it’s foundation.

    @Dreamweaver – Incorrect.

The New Testament is far from psychopathic. What you don’t know about Christianity and the Bible is apparently allot. This is to be expected, as secular types and their broad brushes are seldom close to the mark.

On the subject of Iran, seeing a peaceful country such as Iran armed with a nuke wouldn’t bother me as much as the status quo. In fact, it may be the only way to force Israel to the bargaining table in good faith. They’re both rational actors who act in their own best interest. I see no reason why a MAD type strategy wouldn’t help level the playing field and finally force Israel to acknowledge diplomacy as the most viable option for their own long term stability.

Eerily like the destruction of thousands of Christian churches in the early Soviet Union, but not a single Synagogue was touched.

Communism just on the strength of this is Jewish.

While i’m here, the Germans should tell the Jews that there is an absence of symmetry when they are not allowed to disbelieve in the Holocaust but the Jews are allowed to be insulting to Christianity, as one is passive the other is active.

What makes this imbalance worse is that the Germans are penalised whereas the Jews are not.
