Obama Afghanistan

The war in Afghanistan is “fundamental to the defense of our people,” President Obama said Monday, addressing the Veterans of Foreign Wars conference in Phoenix, Ariz. — but the fight will not be easy. “The insurgency in Afghanistan didn’t just happen overnight. And we won’t defeat it overnight,” the president said. “But we must never forget.
This is not a war of choice. This is a war of necessity. Those who attacked America on 9-11 are plotting to do so again. If left unchecked, the Taliban insurgency will mean an even larger safe haven from which al Qaeda would plot to kill more Americans.”

“A war of necessity.” Right! The world finally gets to see the true face of Barrack Obama. Warmongering ass clown. There is no “war of necessity” in Afpakisnam. Nope. Just boat loads of hypocrisy, senseless slaughter, diplomatic banality, and military waste. Well you know, cause the U.S. military loves ‘wasting’ Afghan men, women, and children. “Hope” dies, “change” is a lie, and the Obama is George Bush reincarnate.

What the main stream media won’t remind people is that the Taliban were business partners until 2001 , and came to Houston ,Tx. Unocal Oil HQ for seminar and work on oil contract . Even Lala Helms , daughter of cIA chief was their PR front person , bcs their image was so bad for abusing their own people . But as long as they were willing to work with U.S. oil companies , it all just fine and dandy .

One problem was the Taliban wanted an open pipeline to siphon a small percentage of oil running through their country , from the Caspian Oil fields , which was the smart and logical thing to want , UNOCAL said no .

9/11 happen the invasion ( what a coincidence ) and occupation for their resources coveted for mnay years has begun and the idea one of the poorest nations in the world is a threat , is a joke . It’s raw , pure Imperialism , killing for global supremacy and control and the policy never changed with the hoopster , just the next phase of gangsterism .

if you spent $30 MILLION a day every single day for 2000 years it would still not equal to obama’s $23.7 TRILLLION in financial bailouts

… the main reasons why people get poorer are because of higher taxes and inflation.

Boys and girls currently fighting in the criminal ” wars” in Iraq and Afghanistan would rather kill themselves than mindlessly kill others. This is just beginning to be shown by the increasing suicide rates of the increasingly moral armed forces.
Even McKristal, Cheney’s former mercenary general, gives the illegally “fired” McKiernan his due, and is not the mindless killer he once was. I believe the US is changing and I pray it is not too late for the benighted US. Sincerely, EER

Kahoneez(comments above) is right on. While the U.S. was negotiating with
the Taliban, no one cared about Talibani abuse of the Afghans. As soon as
the deal fell through, anti-Taliban comments in the MSM cropped up like
bad weeds. The U.S. warning to the Taliban during oil pipeline talks: “either
we’ll carpet your country with gold, or carpet it with bombs”. We all see which
carpet won out. Seems the only thing “fundamental to the defense of our people”, has been lies, murder and the spreading of depleted uranium. And any halfwit can see that the 9/11 attacks could not have been planned and
executed in Afghani caves, on easily traceable laptops and cell-phones; while at the same time having building seven wired for explosives and no one the wiser.

“overnight”? Doesn’t this guy know this has been going on since 2001 – 8 LONG YEARS AGO?

    “But we must never forget.”
“Forget” what? That this was an illegal invasion of a country that had done us no harm?

We experienced them in Latina America first. Also, in the Philippines and the Kingdom of Hawaii.

Geesuz ,Obama the U.S. has killed over 10 , 000 civilians and thousands others in Afghanistan , aren’t we even yet .

The Taliban as I read from an analyst , were the Inn Keepers and Al Qaeda were their guests , but their gONE now , yet you still want to drop bombs on the INN , in addition to the fact , THe Taliban , have nO interest outside Afghanistan , nor the capability to project any threat , no air force , no navy .

But for them to ever admit it’s about controlling the region * Caspian Oil pipeline , is a dream . .
