ISRAEL THRIVES ON ‘BEING THE VICTIM’

victimDespite the fact the Swedish newspaper which reported on the organ harvesting admitting last night that there was no proof to their allegations, there is not a word in the Israeli press about this. Israel apparently does not want to give up it’s claim of being the victim.

Yes, there were are murders of innocent Palestinians, Yes, there were are autopsies (which BTW are forbidden both in Islam and Judaism), Yes, there were are ‘ransoms’ demanded for the return of many bodies….. BUT how do we really know those bodies ‘were stuffed with cotton”? Was a second autopsy performed? A Palestinian journalist living abroad reported today that Palestinian graves were desecrated. Are we to believe that organs are being harvested from decomposing bodies? I think not!

Why has the Palestinian leadership remained silent on this issue? Why have the aging remnants of Israel’s ‘Left’ remained silent on this issue? Why have the Palestinian members of the Israeli Knesset remained silent on this issue?
Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that there actually is not a real issue to speak out against.

There have been many comments in the Guardian, whose readers used to be anti-Israel, and this time 90% of them were pro-Israel.  Of course the Guardian article didn’t say at all that Bostrom was right, but simply even if Bostrom is a liar and a bad journalist, Israel overreacted a bit; yet  most of the readers wrote that Israel is absolutely right, etc. etc.  And so Israel is the victim again, courtesy of Bostrom and Aftonbladet. This is just what Israel wants.

Needless to say, Israel ‘thrives on being the victim’. For us that work endlessly to help bring justice to the cause of the Palestinian people it is of vital importance that we ‘keep our eye on the prize’ and not be distracted by what might be total fabrications of zionism.

There are real crimes committed against the Palestinian people daily by the Israeli government, the IDF in particular. We do not have to fabricate crimes or exaggerate them… they are real. Mazin Qumsiyeh, a regular contributor to this Blog had the following observation…. A big tempest in a tea pot is brewing as Israel and Sweden enter a diplomatic fray because a Swedish newspaper suggested investigations are needed on cases of removal of organs from Palestinians killed by Israeli forces. There has been thousands of Palestinian civilians killed by Israeli forces and families in many cases explain how the injured and killed are taken to medical facilities and returned ordered to be buried immediately without uncovering why their bodies were opened “for autopsies” and stitched back with missing organs.  Now there are so many documented Israeli atrocities and I do believe it is important that activists get their stories right before adding another to the long list of (far better) documented atrocities.  There have been well-documented massacres, ethnic cleansing, use of white phosphorous on civilians, mass execution, torture, extrajudicial execution, bombing of crowded refugee camps, and many more. So I will not here add to this storm.  I did notice missing from the discussion the fact that Israeli authorities themselves have acknowledged at least one pathologist harvesting organs but that story from 2002 was never followed up and we do not know what happened to this investigations (like hundreds of other “investigations” before it):   Abu Kabir Operating Organ Warehouse.

So, let us ‘keep our eye on the prize’ till Palestine is FREE! Let us not allow Israel to become the victim when Palestine is. Let us beware of all traps set by the zionists…. this particular issue just might be one of them.

    I don’t believe it is a trap.

I believe Kawther and the others. Why are people so willing to believe it is a Zionist trap only because it is horribly ugly?

    this is one silly article!
No Bostrom is not a liar…yes body parts have been reported missing in palestinians and in israeli soldiers. Ive posted that info to manofpeace. Whys is it not being put on this site?
Heres a chance for activists in palestine israel to do some further investigation of their own, instead of defending Israel.

‘A big tempest in a tea pot is brewing as Israel and Sweden enter a diplomatic fray because a Swedish newspaper suggested investigations are needed on cases of removal of organs from Palestinians killed by Israeli forces.’

if theyve nothing to hide, they can let the RED CROSS investigate!

Why have the Palestinian members of the Israeli Knesset remained silent on this issue?

    How manhy are there?
    one of them hasnt:

‘In January, 2002, an Israeli cabinet minister tacitly admitted that organs taken from the bodies of Palestinian victims might have been used for transplants in Jewish patients without the knowledge of the Palestinian victims’ families.

The minister, Nessim Dahan, said in response to a question by an Arab Knesset member that he couldn’t deny or confirm that organs of Palestinian youths and children killed by the Israeli army were taken out for transplants or scientific research.

“I couldn’t say for sure that something like that didn’t happen.”

The Arab Knesset member who posed the question to Dahan is believed to be Ahmed Teibi. Teibi pointed out that he had received “credible evidence” proving that Israeli doctors at the forensic institute of Abu Kabir extracted such vital organs as the heart, kidneys, and liver from the bodies of Palestinian youth and children killed by the Israeli army in Gaza and the West Bank .

During an interview with al-Jazeera TV in 2002, the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat accused the Israeli apartheid regime of murdering Palestinian infants, children, and youths and harvesting their vital organs for transplants.

“They murder our kids and use their organs as spare parts` Why is the whole world silent? Israel takes advantage of this silence to escalate it’s oppression and terror against our people,” said an angry President Arafat.

During the interview, which took place on 14 January, 2002, Arafat held up photos of the mutilated bodies of the children.

“I’m not worried about myself”, as the President is under house arrest, “I’m worried about the Palestinian people who have been under siege for the past 15 months.”

Israel had admitted that doctors at the L. Greenberg Institute of Forensic Medicine at Abu Kabir had harvested the organs of 3 Palestinian youth killed by the Israeli army near Khan Younis.’

Brian, I an not claiming that Bostrom is a liar at all, I am sure he had good intentions when he wrote the article in question. I agree with you that there should be a Red Cross investigation.

Mary, Kawther’s reports are wonderfully documented with FACTS…. I am not saying otherwise. She is a brilliant reporter. BUT, she makes no claims regarding organ harvesting in any of her reports.
Not only is this an ugly situation, as you say, it is typical of many traps set before by the zionist beast. We have to beware of them always.

Bostroms is a perfectly valid peace of journalism, which is shown by the outrage from zionists, and some who claim not to be!.

Palestinians HAVE complained of organ theft, but who listens to them?

I am not in any way disagreeing with you Brian. I am merely asking for Bostrom and others to offer proof. Perhaps the Red Cross investigation you mentioned earlier is the way to go…. perhaps they are the ones that pressure should be put on to initiate such an investigation.

Many months before this Swedish story came to light, Palestinian NGOs have been working on the issue. In a press release I received back in May it notes:

“National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of War Victims and the Retention and Disclosure on the Fate of Missing Persons”, please visit our website at: http://www.makaberalarqam.ps.

INVESTIGATE! LET THE TRUTH BE FOUND AND THE BODIES RETURNED.

More Horror – The Result Of Abu Kabir

    By IsraelNationalNews.com

The family of IDF soldier Daniel Heller is calling it “organ theft,” joining the increasing list of bereaved families accusing the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute of taking organs from their loved ones without permission.

The family rejected autopsy findings in Israel, prompting the distraught father to exhume his son’s body himself and leave it in his home until an independent pathologist was appointed. The autopsy’s preliminary results indicate many internal organs were taken from the soldier’s body without the family consent or knowledge.

In this case, as in many previous cases, the family is demanding an investigation and the dismissal of chief pathologist Prof. Yehuda Hiss. Other cases also document that Hiss and his staff took organs without requesting or informing relatives. Jars containing body parts of civilians and soldiers have been found in the forensic institute, but to date, no government agency has taken any action against Hiss, not even the minimum – suspending him from duty pending an investigation.

Abu Kabir’s official findings stated Heller committed suicide, a position that was rejected by the soldier’s parents. The bereaved parents believe the death was the result of an accidental discharge of Daniel’s weapon. On Wednesday, at noon, Heller will be laid to rest for a second time, in the Dimona cemetery.

the paranoid israeli elite will and have treated the red cross as they treat the UN,…

NOW there is the International Red Cross,..and something called the ‘Israeli red cross’…which doesn actually have a cross sop much as shield:

‘Since 1993, UN Watch has systematically lobbied the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies at their Geneva headquarters, as well as the American Red Cross, to urge them to admit the Magen David Adom to the international fraternity. Furthermore, the Chairman of UN Watch, Ambassador Morris Abram, is one of eighteen experts appointed by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and charged with finding a favorable resolution to the emblem issue’
    http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Health/mda.html

UNwatch is an UN hating NGO that serves zionist interests..Abram is a fellow who is nationally challenged…is he american or israeli? and why would the red cross choose such a fellow to resolve this issue?…Why not choose John Bolton?

Only the international red cross could investigate, but will the dictatorial israeli govt let it?….

I don’t think the Aftonbladedt article is such bad journalism. Read the entire article at
    http://www.palestinechronicle.com/view_article_details-php?id=15377
Just what type of proof can we expect here: a broken body of a loven one is dumped on your doorstep, in preparing the body for an immediate burial, you notice unexplained gashes on it. Is the traumatized family in question supposed to find a doctor and an attorney to certify that the kidneys are missing?
There is enough circumstantial evidence here to arouse more than a vague suspicion.
The Israeli military is capable of unimaginable bestiality, why so much doubt here?

    just who is lying?

Lierbeman, in a fit of pique is supposed to have said about sweden:

‘Lieberman’s office reported, “It is a shame that the Swedish Foreign Ministry is not getting involved when a blood libel against Jews is at hand. This reminds the Swedish position during the WWII – then, too, they didn’t get involved.”
    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3765045,00.html

really? Lieberman must have a faulty memory:

‘In 1943, Sweden received nearly all of Denmark’s 8,000 Jews. With the dissolution of the Danish government in the summer of 1943, the German authorities had decided to deport the Danish Jewish population to concentration camps. However, the Danes successfully transported all but 450 of the Jews to Sweden in an unprecedented rescue effort. There, they were granted asylum, and taken in by Swedes. Many stayed in Sweden after the war. Sweden also received refugees from Finland and Norway, including some of Norway’s Jews who were able to escape. This, as well as the protection of Sweden’s own Jewish population, was made possible due to Sweden’s neutrality. During the war Sweden aided and saved more Jews than any other country.[21][22]

Neutrality also made it possible for Sweden to have access to Germany, which was not only useful to Swedish intelligence but also to the Allies. Employees at Asea, LM Ericsson och Svenska Tändsticksfabriken acted as couriers for the Polish resistance.[21] King Gustav V attempted to use his diplomatic connections with German leaders to convince them to treat Jews more humanely, as evidenced through their correspondence, though he had little influence. Count Folke Bernadotte, a relative of the royal family, was able to communicate with the German government, and relay information back to Sweden, as did other diplomats. He also contributed to saving 15,000 prisoners from concentration camps, including many Jews, as did the famous diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who saved perhaps 100,000 Hungarian Jews.’

So how can he accuse Bostrom, of lying and blood libel, when thats what hes doing!

In re. to Kawther: “she makes no claims regarding organ harvesting in any of her reports.”

Why does Kawhter have to report everything? So, she left out one item, sodes she have to report everything, when others report what is happening?

Kawher being a woman, I don’t blame her- this is such an ugly, sick crime.

It’s like the israelis have the GALL to consider Palestinians sub-humans, but then go right ahead and steal the last thing a human being has: their organs.

    Israel SCUM!

Kawther is NOT responsible for reporting all the crimes that go on- others take up the slack.

I agree that we need to tread carefully over the organ theft issue; it’s possible that the bodies of Palestinians were used for experimentation or medical/forensics training purposes, etc – all equally HORRIBLE possibilities. But if we insist that it’s all specifically for organ removal we’ll be forcing ourselves into a corner if evidence proves otherwise. If we make accusations Israel will deny them, but if we keep asking questions – why are bodies kept for days and returned at night, what is the purpose of an autopsy when cause of death is clearly a bullet – then Israel will eventually be forced to answer.

My concern is that this will turn into another Jenin, wherein Israel supporters (successfully) undermined any claim that the atrocity was a massacre because fewer people were actually butchered than originally reported.

Is Bostrom really guilty of irresponsible journalism? Are journalists no longer allowed to ask questions?

“In January, 2002, an Israeli cabinet minister tacitly admitted that organs taken from the bodies of Palestinian victims might have been used for transplants in Jewish patients without the knowledge of the Palestinian victims’ families.

“The minister, Nessim Dahan, said in response to a question by an Arab Knesset member that he couldn’t deny or confirm that organs of Palestinian youths and children killed by the Israeli army were taken out for transplants or scientific research.

“‘I couldn’t say for sure that something like that didn’t happen.’”

Amayreh writes that the Knesset member who posed the question said that he “had received ‘credible evidence proving that Israeli doctors at the forensic institute of Abu Kabir extracted such vital organs as the heart, kidneys, and liver from the bodies of Palestinian youth and children killed by the Israeli army in Gaza and the West Bank.”
