The commercial media can truly be a source of entertainment…. not necessarily a source of important information as can be seen in the following headlines (reports linked)

Bill Clinton: Mideast peace would undercut terror Duh….. ya’think?

Now? What about the past 61 years??

10 days after settlement freeze expires, 350 new units under construction

And how many were constructed before the ‘freeze’ expired?

And what is it called when you seduce a ‘friend’ ?

Perhaps if they started to act like humans things would change…

And the best one yet….

Rick Sanchez has ‘apologized to Jon Stewart,’ his wife says

And she did that on FaceBook!

Thank goodness for the Blogesphere!

Rabbi claims seducing enemy a “mitzvah.”
So and I am just speculating here, if this “seducing” happens in a bar… ummm, would that make it a ‘bar mitzvah’?
Just wondering Steve and that’s all.

A Mitzvah is a good deed as proscribed by the Tora. There are 613 of them.
A ‘Bar Mitzvah’ means a young lad has reached the age (13) when he is obligated to perform these deeds.

Obviously, some rabbis feel that they can add to the list of 613…. don’t make it necessarily so!

Commercial media has to attract viewers (or listeners) AND advertisers. One without the other means failure. No conspiracy theory, just the facts of life in the business. If Ron Paul went on the radio he might (or might not) have as many listeners as Limbaugh and the others. No matter what his ratings, many advertisers would never buy ads on his show. Of course, Ron Paul would fare even worse in government supported radio, like NPR. They don’t have to care about listeners at all!
