BACK TO THE ONE/TWO STATE SOLUTION IN ISRAEL/PALESTINE

Those who still adhere to the ‘One State Solution’ are living a dream. Civil strife continues to grow in major cities throughout Israel making that concept near to impossible. Ultra Orthodox rulings have virtually rendered the Palestinians (and all other non Jews) to be sub human creatures and have treated them as such. More and more commercial establishments in the Jerusalem area have adopted a ‘Jews Only’ policy, refusing to hire or rent premises to Arabs.

The redundant Palestinian Authority has remained silent on all of the above as not to rock the comfortable boat they are sailing on, a boat that is slowly sailing to oblivion.

The most recent example of the hatred displayed by the extreme zionist elements took place this morning in the city of Jaffa, near Tel Aviv. Jaffa has a population of 46,000 residents of which 17,000 are Palestinian.

I ask one question, if Peace cannot prevail in ONE city in Israel, how can anyone expect it to under a One State Solution? A Palestinian State MUST be founded on Palestinian territory. Palestine MUST be able to govern itself with a government of THEIR choice without the continued animosity of the zionist entity that has been out to destroy them for almost seven decades.

Police arrest 16 protesters demonstrating against right-wing march through Jaffa

March is organized by right-wing activists who want to protest ‘Islamic Movement gaining control over [the city]’; Arab residents close businesses in protest.

Police arrested sixteen left-wing protesters who were demonstrating against a right-wing march through Jaffa on Wednesday.

The march, organized by National Union MK Michael Ben-Ari and right-wing activists Itamar Ben-Gvir and Baruch Marzel was in protest of what they deemed the “Islamic Movement gaining control over [the city].”

The march comes just a few days after the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality announced a plan to build affordable housing exclusively for Jaffa’s Arab residents.

Police spent the morning preparing the city to prevent confrontation between the right wing marchers and Jaffa’s Arab residents. Roads surrounding the planned route of the march, which began at the city’s clock tower, have been closed to traffic.

The head of the Arab residents of Jaffa said that a symbolic demonstration against the march had been decided on. Leaders of Jaffa’s Arab community gathered at a location close to the march so they could observe what is happening. Arab workers in the city decided to strike during the time that the march is taking place.

“There have always been Jews and Arabs together in Jaffa, in coexistence and with mutual respect,” Tel Aviv councilman Ahmed Mashharawi said on Wednesday. “These people’s march reveals their true ugly face. As long as they don’t harm the routine of the residents, we won’t allow them the pleasure of receiving a headline on our account.”

Jaffa is a mixed city where both Jews and Arabs live; of the 46,000 residents, 17,000 are Arab.

    No way.
It must be a one state solution, or no solution at all.

The Zionists must be made to overcome their anti-Semitic sentiments much the same as white Southerners in the USA were made to overcome their segregationist sentiments.

Not only must there be a one state solution, but there must be the right of return and the right to return.

The descendants of Deir Yassin, for example, must be permitted to return to Deir Yassin, or somewhere very close.

    Palestinian territory includes Tel Aviv.

If Palestinians can only live in peace in Palestinian territory, then they must be allowed to live in Tel Aviv or anywhere else on their historical lands that they choose. The Palestinians must be given the right to self-determination.

If a one state solution is adopted, and the right of return is implemented, then the Zionists will reluctantly be forced to give up their racist, anti-Arab, anti-Semitic biases.

I agree with the 1 state solution argument since that’s how we do it here in America, and if you don’t like the poop in the front yard where those Palestinian’s have moved in there’s not a thing you can do about it except use diplomicy to talk them into cleaning it up. Course we believe in a separation of church and state and as Americans are appalled at religeous governments. Why do we support Isreal again? Oh ya, so we don’t get our careers ruined with accusations of anti-semetism.

After the Arab revolution Israel is stedily hedding into the lunatic fringes.
Its progresivly harder to maintain a “posetiv” image on the People inside Israel, and I wonder what is going on in their minds.
And whats even more worrysome is USAs complet backing of that regime.
The hole ting is getting grazier, day by day.

And everybody knows what to do, and after all this decades nothing has happened, for the Palestinians their land is deteriorating, day by day.
And still they talk, and talk, the same mantras day by day.
    And years comes and goes.
This conflict is the real test on our moral and human dignety, way is nothing happening.

Yes; a one State solution. There is no longer a viable Palestinian state. Ideally I would like the one state to be Palestine, and see Israel scrapped. But whatever the resolution, it cannot afford to entertain the unrealistic goal of two sates–one armed to the teeth, and wealthy; the other cut in pieces, unarmed, and living in abject poverty without hospitals. The US needs to cease financing Israel. Israel should be audited and required to pay reparations to the Palestinian people.

“A Palestinian State MUST be founded on Palestinian territory.”

When the thief who stole my house announces that he is willing to ALLOW me to remain in the dog house in the back yard …I think I will just wait the whole thing out. Soonor or later the big public lie will unravel (well actually it is) and the thief will be looking at a mean public with a big stick. Just waiting for that portion of uneducated Americans to get hungry enough to start following the bread crumbs all the way to Israel. It will come.
