A prominent Jewish leader who has twice been named by Newsweek at the “most influential Rabbi in America” has blasted theHuffington Post internet newspaper for running a cartoon by a notorious anti-Semite, which depicts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wringing an Arab infant as ballots with his name on them fall from the child’s body.
The cartoon in question ….
This is not the first time our dear Carlos was attacked by zionists including Israel’s ruling party, The Likud, which declared a ‘Jewhad’ against him a few years ago. His never-ending support for the people of Palestine did not end then, it won’t end now …. OR EVER!
The article slamming him and the Huffington Post can be read HERE ….. and, BTW, Kudos to them for publishing the cartoon in the first place.
Latuff’s response reminds me of the response another great artist made a few years ago; Pete Seeger was called up in front of HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee) to answer questions about his alleged involvement in Communist causes. His response was “I’d like to take this opportunity to sing you all a song I just wrote”.
And so Carlos as well answered his attackers the best way he knows how, with a cartoon….
A wonderful article supporting Carlos can be read HERE.
More comments on Twitter can be found HERE.
As said by Roy Bard in the above link; Whether the Huffingtom Post will have the guts to stand up to the petulant holy man remains to be seen.Yet another attempt to stifle debate and shut down criticism. Yawn…..If only Marv and his tribe could find it in themselves to get as upset over the slaughtered babies, there might be no need for such cartoons in the future.

Be assured that DesertPeace will stand up to any enemy of the Palestinian people and will continue to publish the wonderful works of our Associate Carlos Latuff!

In fact, here’s his latest work…

So political satire has exactly what to do with the jewish faith? The answer of course is none. And where is this pompous self righteous Rabbi when all the racial slurring and discrimination goes on (every day) regarding Muslims? This guy besides being a liar is a monumental hypocrite. Political cartoons are a time honored way of telling the truth.
And sometimes the truth hurts. However there is absolutely nothing
    “anti-semetic” about it.

On the other hand in America we something called free speech. So if someone however sick and twisted wants to stand up and say he doesn’t like jews, well that is his right. And you have the right to NOT LISTEN. What you don’t have is the right to silence him because you don’t like what he is saying. And before those of you start screaming perhaps you can explain why you never object all those racial and religious slurs against Mulsims seen daily in newspapers around the globe………

The world stands against the state of Israel and its crimes with impunity! Israel & its rabid Rabbi are afraid the cat is finally out of the hat and that antisemitism no longer provides a big enough shield to hide behind. Their crimes are too great to hide even behind ‘God Himself.’ I stand with Latuff, as all of his creative expressions reveal just how “politically incorrect” the state of Israel is!

Kudos for raising the ire of the hypocrites.
The “most influential Rabbi in America” spewing hatred against people of another faith, demonstrates the disgusting downside of organized ‘religion’ – just as much as pedophile Catholic priests do. Too much ‘religion’, not enough spirituality. Or biting humor, which Carlos employs.

Israel kills innocent men, women and children before every election. The Rabbi shouldn’t be so surprised that people are finally waking up to what’s really happening. Being called an anti-semite nowadays is almost like wearing a badge of honor.

When the demons suddenly become extra virulent, the truth must be very near.

Yes, Steve. I do wear it as a badge of honour. Any one who is not ‘anti-semitic’ is no longer human.

Hooray, my comment form is back!

Congratulations to Carlos on surviving the attempts to silence him.

Congratulations too to the Gazan people for having stood up to Israel and defeated them!

Hopefully this will start a new chapter that leads to a two-state solution but knowing Israel and its enabler, the U.S., both duplicitous entities, I’m not going to hold my breath.

Has the Zionist State branded us ‘anti Semitic’?
It is a well worn ploy, an effort to intimidate activists or to delay real progress in the global fight against Apartheid / Fascism.
