HAMAS IS NOT IN A POSITION OF POWER TO WAGE WAR AGAIN

20140723-224607-81967409

*

It looks like the Ceasefire has come to an end ….

Hamas has legitimate demands for it to have continued, but they are dealing with a most stubborn entity which is backed by US unlimited funding.

Hamas’ original Demands

*

First a video dealing with those demands…

*

1. Return of IDF tank positions so that farmers can work their lands

2. Freeing of all prisoners arrested since June 23 (when 3 Israeli teens were killed by Hamas operatives), and improving the conditions of those currently in prison.

3. Lifting of Israel’s naval blockade around Gaza along with the complete opening of the land border crossings.

4. Establishment of an international airport and seaport in Gaza.

5. Expansion of Gaza fishing zone by six miles.

6. Open the Israel-Gaza Rafah border crossing permanently under UN supervision, instead of under Israel’s watch.

7. 10 year truce with Israel along with the deployment of an international observer force on the border.

8. Israel must never enter Gaza under any circumstances and protect Palestinian Muslim worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

9. Israel must refrain from interfering with the newly created unity Palestinian  government between Fatah and Hamas.

10. Rehabilitation of Gaza Industrial Zones and allowance for Gaza to create a border protection force.

All of the above are legitimate!

All, or most of the above, will not be met by Israel.

BUT

There are forces within Gaza that are working in the interests of Israel at the moment as they once again began firing rockets into Israel this morning.

THE RESULT

*

THIS IS WHAT IS CONTINUING

*

Here a rocket from Gaza hits near a school in Sderot ….

*

Here is the Israeli response ….

*

Here is DesertPeace’s response to WHAT CAN AND SHOULD BE

enfant-juif-et-arabe2

*

It CAN …. It WILL be done! We have NO OTHER CHOICE!

*

ENOUGH ALREADY!

FROM BOTH SIDES!!

*

Dr. Mads Gilbert adds the following thoughts

Dr. Mads Gilbert: Solidarity with Gaza! If no siege, no tunnels! – If no occupation, no rockets!

*

Dr. Mads Gilbert from Tromsø, Norway (Twin City with Gaza City), was working at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza during the last Israeli onslaugt on Gaza. When he returned from Gaza to his home-town Tromsø on July 31 2014, he went straight from the airport to give this spontaneous speech at a large solidarity demonstration for Gaza held at the same time. The regional newspaper “Nordlys” (“Northern Light”) streamed the demonstration and featured Dr. Mads’ speech on their web-site. They have donated the video. It was transcribed and subtitled in English through a solidarity effort by Norwegian film and video professionals. The video can be shared and used for non-commercial purposes.

Friends of Gaza posted this on YouTube.

What did you think this was DP? A game? There are no rockets being fired from the west bank. Do you see Palestinians in the West Bank being given their equal rights? NO they are not. Do you think if Hamas stops firing rockets israel is ever going to lift this siege on Gaza? NO THEY ARE NOT! The people of Gaza are behind Hamas. The people of Gaza have said loud and clear they would rather die fighting and resisting this siege rather than go back to living in it as they were before! DID YOU THINK THEY WERE KIDDING ABOUT THAT?

Israel will slaughter every human that is still alive in Gaza for this.
Gazans know this and do not care any more. But after that Palestinians in the West Bank and EJ won’t care any more either and will also rise up and go down fighting. Then all the Arabs that surround israel will hate isreal more than its ever been hated. Jews will be hated more than they have ever been hated.

LIFT THE SIEGE ON GAZA NOW! THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN PUT US ON A ROAD TO PEACE. LIFT THE SIEGE NOW!

The siege has driven the Gazans mad. No human being can live the way they have been forced to live all these years and still keep a normal mind!

LIFT THE SIEGE NOW! LIFT IT NOW!

These are not demands but basic rights.

I don’t think the comment «…when 3 Israeli teens were killed by Hamas operatives » belongs in demand # 2. Even the Israelis now admit that the three youths were not killed in a Hamas operation.

I also agree with Ladybat for the most part but I am not sure that «Jews will be hated more than they have ever been hated». We are, after all, writing these comments in a column that presents a clip from Democracy Now in which Amy Goodman, the grand-daughter of an orthodox rabbi, interviews Gideon Levi, a journalist from a liberal Jewish newspaper. I hope that people who have been paying attention to the wave of condemnation of Israel’s genocidal actions have been impressed by the many articulate and credible Jewish voices in that wave: Gerald Kaufman in GB, Norman Finkelstein, Naomi Wolf and Rabbi Henry Siegman in the USA, just to name a few (and my personal favorite: Desert Peace in the Heart of the Beast). Considering the amplitude of demonstrations worldwide, the number of incidents against synagogues is extremely small; public furor, when expressed, has almost always been directed towards Israeli embassies and consulates. I think a lot of people can appreciate the courage it takes for Jews to face the opprobrium dealt out to those who dare take on the Zionist establishment. Yet there is nothing new or strange about that kind of courage; it can draw sustenance from a long and rich progressive tradition among Jews, those Jews that built trade unions, fought in the International Brigades in Spain and worked against segregation in the USA. The Jews in Israel and throughout the world that are now speaking out and taking action against the massacres are contributing to that tradition and are winning a lot of respect.

Sorry DP. Just did not like the title of this one. I have to disagree with it. I see Hamas as being more powerful than ever before.

My heart is bursting with pride for them!

NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE! TO RESIST IS TO EXIST! EVEN IF IT TAKES A THOUSAND YEARS!

Its not about how many punches you can take. ITS ABOUT HOW MANY PUNCHES YOU CAN TAKE AND STILL REMAIN STANDING ON YOUR FEET!

And Hamas, though battered and bruised… IS STILL STANDING!

    IS STILL STANDING!!!

Mourice its not lost on me what some very brave Jews are doing to end this insanity. But I’m sorry to say they are still in the minority of the rest of the world Jewish population as a whole. Israel was crated in the name of the Jews. Not in the name of Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, or even Wiccans! It must be Jews who take it down. Jews must dismantle the AIPAC Lobby in Washington. That is the only way to loosen the grip zionist Jews have on our political leaders. That is israel’s power source. It must be taken down once and for all.

No one can do that but Jews. Because it is Jews who support it. Jews must make their collective voices the majority of their people. That is the only way this can no longer be called a Jewish creation.

I’m sorry, but this is a Jewish mess. It has to be Jews to clean it up and make it right.

Out of all the challenges that Jews have had to face through out their history this will be the biggest one of them all.

But one I know they can accomplish if they stand as one.
