TO SAY TRUMP IS NOT A RACIST IS LIKE SAYING A ROSE IS NOT A FLOWER

A reader, apparently a Trump’s fan, has voiced consternation at my description of the American President as racist following his scandalous remarks about African countries and Haiti last week. See THIS post …

Mr. Trump: you are a cancer upon the conscience of Christ

“There are many things about Trump that I don’t like, but to call him a racist is stupid and dishonest,” wrote the reader.

Well, I would like to say to the esteemed reader that I am not particularly eager to call people, even those who disagree with me, bad names and epithets.  People might thoughtfully and sincerely hold different views, even sharply different, views, without being racist or bigoted.

In many countries, including the U.S, even voicing manifestly-racist speech is not illegal.

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right to freedom of speech and expression from government interference. However, constitutional protection of “hate or racist” speech expires once that kind of speech crosses the verbal sphere, the ultimate red line!
As a Muslim, I am against giving legal protection for hate speech this is because words can kill and do kill.  Bloodshed, even genocide, originates in the verbal sphere.

As to Trump, I wouldn’t call him “racist” solely because of the S-hole gaffe, even though what he said seems to epitomize his entire mindset. It is very hard for me to give him the benefit of the doubt. There are actually prima facie evidence that would incriminate and criminalize Trump as well as virtually all American presidents I know.

In fact, Trump is more than just racist. He is a murderer who carries on his hands the blood of so many innocent people from many parts of the world, including my own country.

Don’t raise your eye-brows in disbelief. When a person, let alone the President of a powerful country like the United States,  helps, enables, encourages or abets a murderer to murder an innocent victim, the helper, enabler or a bettor is treated as murderer or co-murderer, and rightly so.

True, apologetics might cite certain “extenuating” circumstances such as non-awareness to mitigate the gravity of he crime… But can any honest person under the sun argue that Trump is not aware  that innocent people, including hundreds of children, have been killed and are being killed as a direct result of his ignorant policies and ignorant decisions.

In Palestine, my country, Israel, the brazenly racist military  occupier Trump embraces “soul and heart,” trigger happy-Israeli soldiers have murdered and maimed hundreds of Palestinians since his  scandalously short-sighted decision to recognize Jerusalem as Capital of the apartheid state of Israel several weeks ago.

The same story of death and maiming is repeated, almost on a daily basis, in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen and other Muslim countries America is hell-bent on destroying under the false rubric of fighting terror.

Don’t tell me Trump could have done nothing to stop the rampant murder. He could have but he chose not to because the lives of Muslims, Christians and others who dare say “No” to America’s hegemony and imperialism apparently  have no sanctity and mean very little to him and his administration. Which prompts me to ask: what sort of a Christian is he and what sort of Bible and Ten Commandments does he follow?

As an esteemed reader, I pointed out that your article called Trump a racist and bigot, based on the fact that he called some countries S*holes.
You failed to articulate that in this article. I also Suggested that you provide sources and instances where he displayed ‘racism’. At least you tried.
I made the point that countries and places (e.g. Gaza) can be described as S*holes without in any way imputing that the people are inferior or at fault for their circumstances.

Generally I do not bring religion into a discussion, but you started with “Mr. Trump: you are a cancer upon the conscience of Christ.”

Somehow I think that Christ would disagree.

    Romans 5:6-8 ESV
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

    Matthew 7:1-29 ESV
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. …”

    Proverbs 6:16-19 ESV
“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.”

In the words of the Darqawi Sufi teacher Ahmad ibn Ajiba, “a science through which one can know how to travel into the presence of the Divine, purify one’s inner self from filth, and beautify it with a variety of praiseworthy traits”.

Sowing discord among brothers does not fit my understanding of ‘Praiseworthy traits’.

Adolph Hitler could have cited similar quotations from the Bible in an effort to vindicate himself and justify his crimes against humanity. This is reductio ad absurdum .

According to your pseudo “Christian” logic, one can commit every sin and every crime under the sun, and he or she shouldn’t be judged!! Sorry. I reject your logic very forcefully.

My way is different. When one murders an innocent person, knowingly and deliberately, he is a murderer, period. If you think child- killers like Trump and Netanyahu and ilk shouldn’t be judged as criminals because Jesus said don”t judge others lest you be judged,” or because you think ” he died for our sins”….then you have your way and I have mine.I don’t believe that Jesus should be used as a free insurance policy to just justify evil. Remember Millions have been killed in the name of Jesus. In America, Christians (presumably like you) exterminated millions of native America. They later called the genocide “manifest destiny.” Halulia!

    I am not ‘Justifying’ evil.
If you read my comments, you would see that I abhor evil. But, I also abhor the ‘over the top’ demonisation of people.
Trump has not murdered any children.
Please explain how Trump could stop the wars without being JFKd.
He has already been over-ruled by every court and the Congress.
    He is surrounded by enemies.
US is being run by the military and the MIC.
I would not vote for him under any circumstances BUT I try to understand the environment in which he has to operate.
Even trying to reduce the problems is resulting in him being vilified ridiculously.

With regard to Jerusalem I copy a comment I made at the time.

” PJ London a month ago.

Trump is not in the least bit interested in Israel, Palestine or in fact anything outside of the US.
Every one of his ‘Foreign Policy’ actions are idiotic unless you look at his poll figures in USA.
The US wants an enemy, 15 years ago it was decided that ‘Muslims’ fitted the bill and every Muslim in the world suddenly wanted to destroy the US, according to American opinion makers. They are trying to replace them with ‘Russians’ but it does not work as Americans realise that Russians are in fact very like themselves.
What he has done is throw Congress under the bus. You people voted for these idiots, they voted for Jerusalem, so let them handle it.
He has blindsided both Congress and Netanyahoo, ‘OK you got your wish, now what?’
Maybe it is a quid pro quo for the tax deal, but I think he is just rubbing their noses in their stupid decisions.
I think that he is going to more and more do what Congress says, but do it literally.
They would not support him in any way, so let the voters see just how bad these fools are.
In 6 months, America will not have any ‘allies’, just by Trump doing what congress and the voters want.
He got elected by saying what the voters wanted to hear.
Congress and the courts have stymied any action, so let the people see the outcome, his hands are clean.

“Under the relentless thrust of accelerating over-population and increasing over-organization, and by means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms—elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest—will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial—but Democracy and freedom in a strictly Pickwickian sense. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.”
    – Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

Look at Iran, Russia, North Korea, total idiocy in the eyes of those outside USA.

He is a genius who is brilliantly exposing the oligarchy.
Either that or he is a stupid twat.”

For 70 years there has been relentless action by Israel whilst claiming to be the victim.
Trump can take that away and expose what they really are.
I am NOT claiming that this is his motivation, merely pointing out possibilities.
Unlike you I do not see people as inherently and deliberately evil.
Michael Caine was asked “How do you portray such believable villains?”
He replied “I remember that no one is a villain in his own eyes.”
Netanyahoo believes that he is “saving” Israel, making it safe.
Trump believes that he is making America Great again.
Until you throw off you blinkers of bigotry and hatred you will never understand what is happening or why.
