Jews Are ‘Real Problem’ — and Opposition to Donald Trump Proves It

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke told his radio audience Wednesday that Jewish opposition to Donald Trump shows that Jews are “the real problem” and the “reason why America is not great.”

The comments, first noted by the website Right Wing Watch, came the day after the New York businessman all but secured the Republican nomination with a decisive primary victory in Indiana.

Duke praised Trump’s win, calling it an “amazing victory.”

One of the nation’s most prominent white supremacists, Duke is a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and has run unsuccessful campaigns for Louisana governor, the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the presidency. Trump declined to disavow Duke’s support in a February CNN interview, saying that he didn’t “know anything about David Duke.” (Trump later claimed he “could hardly hear” the CNN reporter who had asked him the question.)

In his May 4 comments, Duke blamed Republican Jews for efforts to keep Trump from becoming the Republican nominee.

“Jewish chutzpah knows no bounds,” Duke said, butchering the pronunciation of the Yiddish word.

Later, Duke continued: “I think these Jewish extremists have made a terribly crazy miscalculation, because all they’re going to be doing by doing a Never Trump movement is exposing their alien, their anti-American, anti-American majority position… They’re going to push people more into an awareness that that the neo-cons are the problem, that these Jewish supremacists who control our country are the real problem, and the reason why America is not great.”

Ironically, Duke’s comments came as prominent Jewish Republicans were lining up in support of Trump, with former George W. Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer tweeting that he would “vote for Trump over Hillary any day.”

Republican Jewish Coalition chairman David Flaum issued a statement Wednesday afternoon congratulating Trump, and saying that Hillary Clinton is “the worst possible choice for a commander in chief.”

My personal hatred for him and his father goes back over fifty years as can be seen in THIS post from the archives.

To claim  and condemn him for the following is utterly ridiculous. This is NOT a nazi salute …

The righteous supporters in the Clinton camp were way too quick to jump on the condemnation wagon, which prompted me to write this.

The attacks in Paris were punishment for what Europe did to Jews in the Holocaust.

Pardon my French, but here’s what Jesus would say to this ‘rabbi’ …

Ex-West Bank Rabbi Calls Paris Attacks Punishment for Holocaust

A controversial West Bank rabbi now living in eastern Jerusalem reportedly said the attacks in Paris were punishment for what Europe did to Jews in the Holocaust.

Rabbi Dov Lior, the former chief rabbi of the Kiryat Arba settlement, made his remarks during a eulogy on Sunday at the Jerusalem funeral for a father and son killed in a West Bank terror attack, according to the Hebrew-language news website Srugim and The Jerusalem Post, which cited the Hebrew-language Walla! news website.

“The wicked ones in blood-soaked Europe deserve it for what they did to our people 70 years ago,” Lior said, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Lior moved from Kiryat Arba to the Mount of Olives in eastern Jerusalem several months ago.

In 2011, police questioned the rabbi over his support for the scholarly book “The King’s Torah,” which reportedly discusses situations in which it is permissible for Jews to kill non-Jews.

Lior is also known for saying that Jews should not rent homes to Arabs in Israel and for a proposal calling on Israeli soldiers to refuse orders to remove Jews from West Bank settlements.

In the terror attack, Rabbi Yaakov Litman, 40, and his son Netanel, 18, were killed on Friday afternoon as seven members of the family drove to a Shabbat pre-wedding celebration of their daughter and sister. Litman’s wife and 16-year-old son also were injured. Three daughters — ages 5, 9, and 11 — were treated for shock.

Here’s the REAL Reason for the terror as seen by Latuff

Israeli minister weighs population transfer — of kittens

Arguing that spaying and neutering violates Jewish law, Israel’s agriculture minister proposes a crime against humanity — against cats.

We knew it would happen sooner or later. The occupation has finally come home to roost. The darkest of Israel’s injustices, mass displacement and population transfer, is now threatening the Tel Aviv left-wing establishment’s holiest of holies — cute, little kittens.

Israeli Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel is proposing a full-fledged population transfer of Israel’s stray feline population, or rather all of its males, or females. No, seriously. We’re not making this up.

The transfer plan was revealed in a letter from the minister that was published by Yedioth Ahronoth on Monday. According to the report, Ariel, a religious Jew, is looking for alternatives to spaying and neutering the cute little creatures because he believes doing so violates Jewish law.

In the letter, Ariel suggests taking the budget for neutering and spaying and instead using it to “transfer dogs and cats of a single gender (all the males or females) to a foreign country that is willing to accept them.”

The wording, “finding a foreign country that would agree to take” them, is, of course, reminiscent of Israel’s efforts to deport African asylum seekers to third countries, often times in exchange for weapons or other unpublished quid pro quo arrangements.

Many asylum seekers who took part in such “voluntary deportation” programs were sent to Uganda and Rwanda, and have reported that they were left with no money or legal status, many being forced to live on the streets.

One must seriously question whether Israel will be able to negotiate a better, more humane deal for its unwanted feline infiltrator population. Even more worrying: will tabbys and white cats receive better arrangements than their darker-furred brethren?

Click HERE to hear Arlo Guthrie sing about deportees

Click HERE to hear Arlo Guthrie sing about deportees

And then there is the question of how to actually get the cats on planes? Will Ariel hire trappers? Will he leave a trail of cat nip or canned tuna? Or maybe he’ll just line the streets of Tel Aviv with cardboard boxes?

Zehava Galon, head of the left-wing Meretz party, responded to the forced transfer plan by suggesting “this is the time to find a foreign country that will agree to take [Minister Ariel].”

Which begs the question, what country would actually agree to take in the kittens? If no sovereign country is found to take in the feline exiles, Israel could always build them their own settlement somewhere in the West Bank.

Ariel, usually known for trying to spark intifadas and religious wars with his Temple Mount activism, is now making new enemies — Israel’s animal rights movements.

“Does Uri Ariel think that transferring [the cats] from here will cause them less suffering,” preeminent animal rights organization “Let the Animals Live” asked in a Facebook post Monday morning, in which it promised to challenge the population transfer in Israel’s High Court.

At least there’s that. The cats will have their day in court.

Why Benjamin Netanyahu’s Defense of Hitler Matters So Much

Once the laughter and groans have died down, the unorthodox version of Holocaust history offered by Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem the other day confronts us with a deeply unsettling question: What to make of the fact that the Jewish state, of all places, has a Holocaust revisionist for a prime minister?

Too harsh? Perhaps “Hitler apologist” would go down easier. What’s the proper term for a politician who stands before an international audience and declares that “Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews,” but was talked into it by someone he’d just met?

That’s the thesis that Netanyahu laid out in his keynote address to the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem on October 20. According to the prime minister, the idea of killing the Jews was pitched to the fuehrer by the grand mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, when the two met over tea in Berlin on November 28, 1941.

“Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time,” the prime minister said. “He wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said: ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here,’” meaning Palestine. Netanyahu continued: “’So what should I do with them?’ he asked. He said, ‘Burn them.’” (You can watch Netanyahu’s comments here on Ynet, here at Haaretz or here on CNN.)

The remark has prompted an international uproar, with barbs flying in every direction. Critics say Netanyahu “plays into those who would trivialize or understate Adolf Hitler’s role in orchestrating the Holocaust,” in the words of the Anti-Defamation League’s rookie national director Jonathan Greenblatt. Supporters are, predictably, supportive. The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s associate dean Abraham Cooper and in-house historian Harold Brackman, wrote in a Jewish Journal op-ed that the prime minister “went too far” in claiming that Hitler needed Husseini’s help thinking up mass murder, but was “right on” in his larger point, namely that the the accusation of Jews threatening the Al Aqsa mosque can be traced back to the Holocaust-supporting Husseini, way back in the 1920s.

The implication, apparently, is that the mosque accusation is a Nazi-style, genocidal delusion. The further implication is that when current-day Palestinians and other Muslims accuse Israelis of planning to impinge on Muslim religious hegemony over the Temple Mount, they’re merely carrying on the ravings of the mufti who dreamed up the Holocaust.

Netanyahu tried to walk back his statement the next day, saying he didn’t mean to absolve Hitler of responsibility, since Hitler was the one who “made the decision.” He doubled down on Husseini’s role, though, citing a German official’s testimony at the Nuremberg trials to the effect that Husseini had been deeply involved in the gestation. The German, Adolf Eichmann’s deputy Dieter Wisliceny, has been quoted as testifying that the mufti and Eichmann were “best friends” and that the mufti “constantly incited” Eichmann to “greater extermination measures.” The Wisliceny testimony helped inspire the urban legend, which has circulated for years among right-wing Israelis, that Husseini was in fact one of the architects of the Final Solution.

The legend is so deeply rooted, and the facts so tangled up in myths, high-intensity polemics and endless volumes of dry history, that many journalists reporting Bibi’s latest fuehrer furor have given up trying to find the truth. Numerous news accunts of the dustup simply report, like CNN’s Greg Botelho, that the facts can’t be nailed down. “There’s no video or audio, not even a transcript, that can definitively prove Netanyahu’s account of the conversation between Hitler and Husseini,” Botelho wrote.

Actually, there is a record — possibly two, in fact. Hitler’s translator, Paul Otto Schmidt, took notes at the meeting, and they’re readily available. (Find the English translation here or here.) Moreover, the mufti himself kept a diary. The common Internet version of what are said to be his notes from his Hitler powwow (here) tracks closely with Schmidt’s minutes.

What the records show is that the mufti did not pitch genocide to Hitler. Husseini did express support for Hitler’s plan to eliminate the Jews, which he had plainly heard about before the meeting. Hitler proceeded to describe the plan to him in general terms. Husseini said “the Arabs” supported Nazi Germany because they shared the same enemies, namely Great Britain, the Jews and the communists. Hitler told Husseini that he opposed the British-sponsored Jewish national home in Palestine. Husseini asked for a public statement from Hitler endorsing the “elimination” of the Jewish national home. Hitler turned him down.

Both documents make clear that Hitler was already engaged in his genocidal final solution, and that the mufti was an enthusiastic fan. (He would later become an active participant.) Hitler favored extermination because he believed the Jews were trying to take over the world through their domination of capitalist Great Britain and communist Russia. Husseini wanted Jews removed from the Arab world because they were trying to take over Palestine.

There’s also abundant public record documenting the substantial progress Hitler and his lieutenants had made in gearing up the final solution by the time of the November 28 Hitler-Husseini chat. The organized mass killing of Jews by the Nazis had begun in June 1941, immediately after the German invasion of the Soviet Union. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Hitler gave broad instructions to SS chief Heinrich Himmler to “physically eliminate” any perceived threats on July 17, 1941. On July 31, according to the museum, Hermann Goering, Hitler’s chief deputy and designated successor, “authorized SS General Reinhard Heydrich to make preparations for the implementation of a ‘complete solution of the Jewish question.’”

By the end of November, when Hitler met Husseini for the first and only time, planning was well underway for the Wansee Conference, which assembled various German government department heads in January 1942 to coordinate the immense bureaucratic blueprint for genocide that Heydrich had mapped out. Heydrich actually sent out the invitations to the conference on November 29, the day after the mufti met the fuehrer.

Netanyahu’s version of history is so demonstrably and utterly at odds with the historical record that it’s hard to fathom what could have driven him to offer it in a heavily watched keynote address to an international convention. The prime minister famously prides himself on his grasp of history. He makes frequent and facile use of the Holocaust as an object lesson for humanity. Even his harshest critics must have difficulty absorbing the realization that he can be so ignorant of the most basic facts of that history. There’s no lack of observers who disagree, often sharply, with his policies. But this goes to his competence.

There’s another, perhaps larger question raised by Netanyahu’s speech. It goes to the rapidly escalating level of vitriol that the prime minister is directing at Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. One of the clearly evident goals of the Zionist Congress speech was to draw a straight line between the Final Solution and today’s Palestinian national movementand its leader. At a time when Abbas has been peppering nearly every major speech with an appeal for a two-state solution, for a Palestinian state alongside Israel within defined borders, trying to paint him as an heir to the Nazis perverts the truth. Nor does the prime minister stop there. Just hours after the Zionist Congress speech, during a joint press conference with United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-moon, he said that Abbas had “joined” with Hamas and ISIS.

If Netanyahu’s goal is to pave the way to an eventual reconciliation and coexistence, as he so often claims, he’s picked a funny way of doing it. If his goal is, as he says it is, to discourage slander, demonization and incitement, practicing those very things is a bad first step.

These days it might seem like Israel needs a superhero. At Comic Con, taking place at Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center from Oct. 8-11, there is actually an artist who created one.

Arlen Schumer, a comic book historian and illustrator, created Captain Israel about five years ago for the group StandWithUs.

Fearmongering isn’t Christian. Apologize for Ahmed’s arrest.

When a Muslim 9th grader brought his homemade clock, a circuit board wired to a digital display, to school in Irving, Texas, he was led out in handcuffs for creating a “hoax bomb.” Ahmed Mohamed now says he’ll never bring one of his inventions to school again.

This story has gone viral over the last 24 hours, and people are pointing fingers at Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne — a right-wing extremist who gives speeches at churches about how Muslims are “infiltrating” her suburban Texas community.

Mayor Van Duyne has misused Christianity to create a climate of fear and Islamophobia, and now that climate has resulted in the arrest of a 14-year-old boy for the crime of using his God-given gifts of curiosity and inventiveness.

The mayor needs to hear that fellow Christians are ashamed of her Islamophobia. And both Ahmed and everyone who stands with him needs to see how many Christians will stand up when our faith is twisted to promote intolerance.

Hamas Catches Dolphin ‘Spying for Israel’

Caught in the act: Zionist spy exposed.Thinkstock

Hamas authorities in Gaza claim to have captured an Israeli “spy dolphin” off the coast of Gaza Wednesday.

Yes, a spy dolphin.

Sources in Gaza say the dolphin in question was wearing cameras and other equipment, and was captured by Hamas’s “military wing,” the Ezzedine al-Qassan Brigades, according to IDF Radio.

Dolphins are believed to be highly intelligent – but this would be the first time a dolphin has been accused of acting as a secret agent.

It is not known which Israeli intelligence agency said dolphin is accused of working for.

This is not the first such bizarre claim by a Muslim group or country of animals being “recruited” to conduct acts of espionage on behalf of Israel.

Usually the accusations are the result of authorities mistaking tracking devices placed on animals by scientists – to track information like migrationpatterns or the movements of endangered species for example – for sophisticated “spy equipment.” Often, the mere presence of Hebrew writing on a device is seen as “proof” of a Mossad connection.

Sharks, ducks, vultures, eagles, and even rare European Bee-Eaters, have all been “exposed” at some point as dastardly Zionist agents.

Now, it appears, the dolphins are in on it too.

Huckabee: Obama Leading Israelis to ‘Door of the Oven’

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, talking about the Iran nuclear deal, said President Barack Obama will march Israelis “to the door of the oven.”

Huckabee, in an interview Saturday with Breitbart News, evoked Holocaust images of the ovens used to dispose of the bodies of Jews gassed in Nazi concentration camps.

“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history,” the former Arkansas governor said. “It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

Calling the deal signed earlier this month by Iran and world powers the “most idiotic thing,” Huckabee said the agreement should be rejected by Democrats and Republicans in Congress, “and by the American people.”

“I read the whole deal,” he said. “We gave away the whole store. It’s got to be stopped.”

In May, when Huckabee announced he was running for the 2016 presidency, he cast Obama’s foreign policy as not sufficiently protective of Israel’s interests.

“Hell will freeze over before they get a nuclear weapon,” Huckabee said of Iran.

A pastor, Huckabee visits Israel three to four times a year and leads tours there for evangelical Christians.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hotovely meets European officials to demand governments stop providing cash to allegedly anti-Israel organizations.

Israel to EU: Halt funding of NGOs working against us

Israel is demanding that European Union member states halt funding to non-governmental organizations allegedly working to delegitimize the Jewish state. The Foreign Ministry claims that European governments provide 100-200 million euros annually to said groups.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely has begun a series of consultations with European foreign ministers, their deputies, and ambassadors of several European countries, in which she is presenting evidence that their governments provide financial assistance to organizations that support boycotts against Israel, “blacken its face around the world, accuse it of ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and war crimes; deprive the Jewish people of their right to self-determination, call to prosecute Israel in the International Criminal Court at The Hague, and support the right of return”.

Hotovely claimed that some of these organizations are associated with and actively support terror groups.

Hotovely has met withthe Dutch foreign minister, the Spanish deputy foreign minister, and the ambassadors of Sweden, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Switzerland.

According to Hotovely, the diplomats were presented with detailed documents collected by the Foreign Ministry and the NGO Monitor organization that prove the “problematic” funding. She emphasized that Israel sees support for organizations opposing its right to exist as crossing a red line.

Hotovely has instructed Israeli ambassadors in Europe to demand that ministries increase thier overview of funds given to such groups, warning that if her premptive diplomatic move fails, Israel will be forced to adopt legislation forbidding foreign countries from backing organizations with a clear anti-Israel bent.

According to Deputy Minister Hotovely, these are some of the European investments in such organizations in recent years:

The Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Secretariat, managed by the Institute of Law at Birzeit University in the West Bank, which received $10.5 million from the governments of Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The funds were to go to 24 political organizations over three years.

In 2014, the governments of Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the EU provided NIS 415,741 to the Coalition of Women for Peace, an organization that supports aspects of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement.

The Netherlands provided NIS 13 million in the last three years to numerous NGOs, including Who Profits, Al-Haq, the Coalition of Women for Peace, and Al-Mezan.

Denmark provided NIS 23 million in the last three years to several NGOs, including Breaking the Silence, BADIL, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, and other Palestinian organizations.

Switzerland provided NIS 5 million over the last three years to organizations like the Alternative Information Center, Zochrot, the Applied Research Institute, and Terrestrial Jerusalem.

Spain gave NIS 3.8 million in the last three years to groups including Breaking the Silence, the Coalition of Women for Peace, the Alternative Information Center, and NOVA, a Spanish BDS organization.

The United Kingdom provided NIS 12 million in 2008-2011 to Breaking the Silence, Yesh Din, Gisha, Bimkom, Terrestrial Jerusalem, and No Legal Frontiers.

The video, just 28 seconds long, was published on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s social media pages Tuesday and argued that allowing Iran to obtain nuclear weapons would be even worse than giving nukes to the jihadist IS group — also known as ISIS — that has rampaged across Iraq and Syria brutally murdering opponents in its path.

Once again treating us all as if we were children….

Russian bookstores began removing a graphic novel about the Holocaust from their shelves due to the large swastika on its cover.

The stores reportedly removed the book “Maus” by Art Spiegelman over concerns about raids by the authorities to remove the symbol ahead of May 9, when Russia will observe 70 years since the victory over the Nazis.

The book won a Pulitzer Prize in 1992, and was first published in Russia in 2013, according to the French news agency AFP. About 10,000 copies of the book have been sold in Russia, the publisher told AFP.

Russia passed a law banning Nazi propaganda in December. Toy stores and antique shops have been raided for Nazi symbols.

The Respublika bookstore chain confirmed to the New York Times on Monday that it had removed the book because it was concerned about the raids. Inspectors seeking “book covers with Nazi symbols, in particular drawings of the swastika led the company to consult with lawyers about the legitimacy of selling this book in our chain,” Anastasia Maksimenko, a representative for Respublika, told the Times in an email.

A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, while confirming that Nazi and fascist symbols were unacceptable, said that “everything needs to be in moderation.”

Russian stores pull Holocaust graphic novel Maus over swastika on cover

Russian bookstores were hastily removing an award-winning graphic novel about the Holocaust from their shelves on Monday, reportedly because its cover shows a Nazi swastika.

Maus, by American artist and author Art Spiegelman won a Pulitzer Prize in 1992 and was published in Russian in 2013.

But Varvara Gornostayeva, the chief editor at the book’s publisher Corpus, said major bookstore chains were taking it off their shelves and internet sites.

“They have removed the book,” Gornostayeva told AFP. “It was selling very well and nobody had ever sent us any official complaints.”

A reporter for Echo of Moscow radio, Darya Peshchikova, toured bookstores and said staff were expecting raids by the authorities ahead of 9 May, when Russia marks 70 years since Soviet victory over Nazi forces in the second world war.

“They are waiting for checks and decided to clean up their shelves,” Peshchikova wrote on Twitter. “The reason is the swastika, employees say.”

Russian authorities have moved to censor Nazi insignia, even raiding toy stores and antique shops which carry period paraphernalia, citing a law which forbids “Nazi propaganda” passed last December.

“There is no Nazi propaganda in it, this is a book that should be on the shelves on Victory Day,” Gornostayeva argued.

“It’s one of greatest anti-fascist books, with a deep and piercing message.”

Maus tells the author’s personal story of the Holocaust through the memories of his father, a Polish Jew who moved to the United States. It uses animal metaphors and minimalist graphic style, portraying Jews as mice and Germans as cats.

The Russian book’s cover features two mice – a father and a son – and a stylised swastika image in the background, with the face of Hitler as a cat in the centre. About 10,000 copies of the book have been sold in Russia, according to the publisher.

By Monday afternoon, three of Moscow’s largest bookstores – Biblio Globus, Moskva, and Moskovsky Dom Knigi – had removed the book from their internet stores.

Cached versions of store catalogues showed that all three carried it just a few days ago, but all denied this when contacted by AFP.

“It must be a mistake,” said a woman in the PR department of Biblio Globus when asked why a days-old version of the store’s webpage show the book as in stock.

Fake selfie of Palestinian being chased by IDF soldiers goes viral

Palestinian rap group DAM allegedly behind fake selfie showing Palestinian running from two IDF soldiers.

A fake selfie showing Palestinian being chased by IDF forces went viral on Twitter Tuesday. The selfie, which was staged and does not depict real IDF soldiers, was taken by Palestinian rap group DAM and shared by unwitting internet users who took it to be real.

According to Buzzfeed, an associate of the DAM rap group confirmed that the photo was staged but did not want to be quoted on record because he and his band mates have enjoyed watching the reaction to the picture online.

When closely examined, there are several hints the picture is a fake – from the sneakers the two “IDF soldiers” are wearing (not part of official IDF uniforms) to the posing of the two soldiers.

However, for those unfamiliar with the IDF, the picture seemed real and it was shared on the internet as an act of defiance by the Palestinian man.

The three people in the photo are DAM members Tamar Nafar, Suhell Nafar and Mahmoud Jreri, according to Buzfeed.

According to the group’s website, DAM is the first Palestinian hip hop group, it was formed in the ’90s after the three Palestinian men were struck by the resemblance of the reality of the streets in a Tupac video that look similar to the streets in their neighborhood of Lyd.

One of their best hits is a song called “Min Irhabi” (“Who’s the terrorist) and was downloaded over a million times after its internet release in 2001. Rolling Stone in France distributed the song for free in one of their issues, according to the DAM website.

Former Israeli President Shimon Peres goes Job Hunting in Hilarious Parody Video

Former Israeli president Shimon Peres has starred in a parody video released by his office this week, in which he acts as though he is looking for a new job.

In the video, written by his granddaughter, the 91-year old Peres, who has been in public service for 70 years, is seen trying his luck as a supermarket cashier, a pizza delivery man and a gas station worker, while still attempting to promote Middle East peace.

“Go in peace! It’s the only solution,” Peres tells a driver after filling his car.

“A nation that never loses hope gives tips and does not take them,” he says to a customer who forgets to give him a tip for pizza delivery.

The video, which is currently being shared via social media, made its debut at the annual Atlantic Council conference in New York City, according to Peres’s office.

It added that the former Israeli president would continue “to serve the State of Israel through education for coexistence, promoting democracy in the Middle East, and supporting Israeli technology, all through the diverse work of the Peres Center for Peace”.

Now, in preparation for losing the upcoming election, his fellow war criminal is at the same game …

Need a Baby-Sitter? Bibi’s

Your Man

It looks like Benjamin Netanyahu has a new career path lined up — you know, in case the Israeli elections don’t pan out.

A new campaign ad released Saturday shows a couple getting ready for a night on the town. The doorbell rings. It’s the baby-sitter. Or is it?

“You asked for a babysitter, you got a Bibi-sitter,” says a smirking Netanyahu. “Where are the children?”

The parents, understandably confused as to what their country’s prime minister is doing at their door, ask Bibi why he should be the one to watch over their children.

It’s either me, or Tzipi and Bougie,” he replies, referring to Zionist Camp’s Tzipi Livni and Issac Herzog. Oh, no! Not them. The parents shake their heads, demonstrating their mistrust.

Herzog needs his own baby-sitter, the dad jokes. Zing. And Livni? “By the time you get back she’ll probably go over to the neighbors,” Netanyahu quips back. (Livni has skipped to and from four political parties).

The ad conspicuously shows no children. Netanyahu’s previous campaign ad, which showed him as the only adult in a kindergarten class full of children named after Israeli political leaders (subtle, Bibi, real subtle), was banned by the Central Election Committee. Showing children under 15 for political gain is a no-no.

First see THIS post from last week …

Saudi TV Blurs Out Michelle Obama

After haredi newspaper photoshops female leaders out of Paris picture, Saudi producers take it a step further.
Upon arriving in Saudi Arabia Tuesday to pay a condolence visit following the death of King Abdullah, Saudi TV showed US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama walking down a red carpet and meeting key dignitaries, including the newly-crowned King Salman.

But apparently perturbed at the first lady’s lack of Islamic attire – and, alas, unable to photoshop her out of the shot – the producers at Saudi state TV came up with a different, even less subtle approach to protect their viewers’ eyes from temptation: the massive blurred column.

You have to admit, it is effective.

Man Booted From Plane in ‘Merry Christmas’ Fracas

Grinchy Passenger Objected To Holiday Greetings

An irate airline passenger who objected to ‘Merry Christmas’ greetings was reportedly booted off an American Airlines flight at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

“Don’t say ‘Merry Christmas,’” the grumpy traveler told flight attendants on the Dallas-bound flight on Thursday, the New York Post reported.

The man, who was not named, was escorted off the flight after he refused to calm down. Other passengers cheered as security took him away.

The Yuletide fracas started at the gate when the man objected to ground staff wishing passengers a merry Christmas as they prepared to board the flight.

“You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas,” the man snapped, according to the Post. “Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!’ ”

Once seated on the plane, the man again loudly objected when the pilot and flight attendants used the public address system to wish passengers a happy holiday.

I’d rather read this type of nonsense than reports about bombings, murders, terrorist attacks, etc., etc!

Caroline Glick melts down with European diplomats

By Annie Robbins FOR

The following lecture by Caroline Glick meted out to Danish Ambassador Jesper Vahr at the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference last Thursday is simultaneously so over the top and so typical of apologists for Israel that it deserves wide attention.

Glick, the deputy managing editor of the Jerusalem Post, is a popular right wing public figure in Israel and abroad. Her fans can’t get enough of her, note the uploader of the video (below) thinks she’s “brilliant” and you can hear audience members cheering her on as she berates Ambassador Vahr in this clip. She got a lot of airtime in The New Yorker last month.

As a longtime Glick-watcher I have developed a deep appreciation for her mobile facial expressions and body language. There’s never any doubt how much disdain she has for her adversaries. Whether it’s a good tactic for dealing with diplomats, though– well, judge for yourself.

After Ambassador Jesper Vahr explains why Europe holds Israel to a different standard than Syria, Palestine or other countries in the Middle East– Israel claims to be a western democracy, it relies on support from the west– Glick squirms in her seat barely able to contain herself. When it’s her turn, she lifts herself off her seat as she launches the first assault:

Delivering first blow Glitch lifts herself out of her seat

She strokes the arm of her chair, barely controlling her angst:

I think that this patronizing attitude towards us that we should be happy that you have a separate standard for-for Israel is-is, uh, is really- I’m sorry- is a statement of contempt for our intelligence.

(audience applause)

The chair arm gets a slight reprieve at the sound of applause from the audience (her fans love her) but the rubbing soon intensifies into a deep massage.

“Um-I-ah-I-I-I-I consider it to be an obsession, I consider Europe’s keen interest in the Middle East, specifically Israel, to be an obsession and it’s an obsession that Jews have seen from Europeans from the time of Jesus, and ah, and we know what it is.

So it’s European anti-Semitism driving the criticism of the occupation! Now Glick’s face takes on a grave expression, lest one risk appearing not to take European history seriously:

Grave expression

Then flipping her hand back and forth, she dismisses any illusion of a “common, common culture” between Europe and Israel, before launching into her own take on international law. Israel respects international law whereas Europe “makes it up”. How? Well, rebuilding Gaza after last summer’s slaughter is against international law and tantamount to supporting terrorism.

And there is a binding UN resolution, chapter 7 from 2001 — 1373, that bars every single UN member nation from funding or otherwise supporting in any way terrorist organizations, and you guys you’re funneling billions of Euros into rebuilding terrorist controlled Gaza.

(loud applause)

This is in contravention of binding international law that you signed on to.

This diatribe, during a conference for diplomats no less, has been lauded in the press by fans of Israel. Numerous sites have shown the video with nothing but praise for Glick as she snarls, berates, whines and otherwise “rips him [Vahr] apart.” This is typical Glick, There’s nothing unique about her delivery that day. This is a face of Israel that clearly many people are proud of. And a voice put forward at important conferences.

Binding resolution

See the fixed downward glance, the hardened jawline, above?

What follow are screenshots of her amazingly mobile face just seconds apart as Glick discusses sanctions against the illegal settlement expansion, or in her words “there’s imaginary international law, imaginary international law that says you are required to, required to sanction Jewish projects from Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria”:

"Imaginary international law"

"Imaginary international law"

"required to sanction Jewish projects"

"required to sanction Jewish projects"

She reaches her high C: “There is no such binding law. You guys are funding settlements in Western Sahara. You’re funding them directly.”

"You're funding them directly"

"You're funding them directly"

It is interesting that this kind of performance has now become a mainstay of Israel’s international diplomacy: the accusatory whine.

Glick makes her case

Now comes her diagnosis of Europe’s antisemitism as a form of obsessive compulsive disorder:

So this is not a double standard, this is a singular standard for Israel. It’s not about international law, it’s about an obsessive compulsive need to constantly pick at the Jewish state. And no I don’t want to be proud that you’re looking at us in a different standard from our neighbors because you’re not looking at them as human beings. What you’re saying is they are objects.

they are objects

Is there any awareness on her part that the U.S. and Europe have let Israel slide on the settlements and occupation for nearly 50 years. Are we to keep shoveling money at the Israelis and shut up?

Now here comes the big reveal. It’s Israel that actually cares about the lives of Palestinians.

The only actor in this entire region, is the people they are trying to annihilate. And the only people who are supposed to be judged by our actions, and always poorly, are the people who are doing everything possible, more than Europe – right – more than the United States more than anybody in order to protect the lives of the Palestinians.

So with all due respect, and I would love it if I could have more respect for Europe, but your treatment of Israel, your singular standard, your obsessive compulsive need to constantly pick..

"your singular standard"

"your obsessive compulsive need"

If I had a dollar for every screen shot I’ve taken of Glick’s arias– I mean speeches– over the years, I could take my sisters out to a fancy diner, or two. I just trashed a whole file of them a couple weeks ago, wondering what on earth I would ever do with them. But I can’t help it, I am back to my old habits.

These screen shots are taken from video shot at the Europe-Israel panel during the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference in Jerusalem last Thursday.
