IS COMMUNISM RETURNING TO RUSSIA?

Ninety years ago on the 7th of November, a revolution took place in Russia which changed its face and political system for decades… a system loathed by the West… which makes one think it was OK….

After years of silent battle, including a cold war between the rival systems, the ‘Iron Curtain’ was finally lifted and ‘democracy’ was returned to the Russian people. At least, that is what the West wants us to believe…
Now it seems that at least one of the former Communist leaders is attempting a comeback…. you can read about it in this AlJazeera report….

Gorbachev heads new political group
Mikhail Gorbachev, Russia’s last Soviet leader, has founded a new political movement to rid the country of “extreme political forces” and champion liberal values.

A statement issued by the movement on Saturday said that “the potential for free democratic choice and political competition is being limited.

“This is why social-democrats are uniting to fight for the values of freedom and fairness.”

At the founding congress of the Union of Social-Democrats in central Moscow, Gorbachev told delegates: “We are putting our hopes in the efforts that [President Vladimir] Putin is making” to reform Russia.

Gorbachev was the last general secretary of the Communist Party and is widely detested at home where he is viewed as responsible for a period of political upheaval and economic collapse after the Soviet Union broke down in 1991.

Unlike Russia, the West credits Gorbachev with a major role in ending the Cold War and he is a frequent speaker at international events.

Political future

In a speech, Gorbachev praised Putin for not changing the country’s constitution to allow himself to run for a third consecutive term, when his period in office runs out next year.

“The president was under pressure and the fact that he did not give in to it is important from the point of view of democracy.”

Putin, unlike Gorbachev, remains very popular in Russia as he is seen to be the instigator of the country’s economic revival and with boosting Russia’s role in world affairs.

Russians are to elect a new president in March 2008. It is still unclear what role Putin could play in Russia’s political future and who his preferred successor might be.

Gorbachev’s new movement is not a political party and will therefore not take part in parliamentary elections in December.

The West are financing Gorbachev against Putin; I can’t believe you would be suggesting a return to Communism. Stick with your excellent reporting on the Middle East, and leave politics out please!

I do not know if it’s coming [back] to Russia – but it has come to the US. Yes – even the “decider” as issued “communist” directives:

Several years ago China was interested in buying Conoco Oil. China Oil already owned some Conoco Stock.

I am trying to remember- This was either just after a Chinese AF pilot forced a US Spy Plane to Land (by tapping it’s wings). Our brave aviators, of course, landed rather than crash into the sea allowing Chinese engineers could have several days reviewing and testing all that nifty expensive US spy gear mounted on the plain. I guess they can’t [NOW] blame a Chinese American for sneaking that technology in. Of course the Chinese Pilot – acting in the best interests of his homeland by popping GI Joe’s Spy Plane with his wings, crashed into the Pacific and died.

Or was it when US Storm Troopers armed a Dominican Republic Junkie and Gangster to coup Aristeed out of Haiti and Back to Africa – Or was it when our Synagogress paid Israel 1.6 Billion for the ordinance consumed by operation the AGOIL (August Genocide Operation In Lebanon – i think Mel Brooks is making a musical of it!!!). So much has happened since two thousand too much to remember – but ,,,

Well when ever it happened, the decision, by the “Decider Cider Chugging and Apple Dunking Pumpkin Head”, forced Conoco Phillip’s share holders to sell their Shares for 2$/Share less than they could have in a true free market – China was waiting in the Free market to buy at a considerable profit – 18$ verses the allowed and settled 16$ a share.. The Low Iodine One signing statemented capitalism as NYET for that deal.

Now some big Hedge fund – (A Half Trillion in US Tax Payer Credits has gone to bail these guys out in just the last 6 Weeks) wants to sell itself to Chinese Buyers (maybe they need a place to unload the near Trillion in near worthless Treasuries the Chinese have acquired) – and – as you guessed – the Decider is going to again have a momentary lapse to Communism – and expectedly disallow shareholders to sell their shares at fair value on the open market (again). Besides – by doing that – the Shrub One assures his buddies can buy it cheaper!

Look at the US folks – we are a central exchange police state that subsidizes big central corporate aggregates so they can produce second rate stuff that only the military buys.

Forget Russia – Look at what is happening to the US – We gotz our own Yelzin – butz weze going the wrong way!

The US is the Communist of the World and Time Now. There is no more Free Market – what is the Federal Reserve all About – Why does ATT and the Gatoraid Company own everything – forget Russia – we got the Lenin Bushowitz family in the house of the most holies and the less favored son, George Leon Trotsky Bushovitz, is the head cop in charge of Genocide!

    Lucky Us.

Communism never left Russia, but hibernated under another name !
As Stalin once said, “The Russians are half man-half beast !”
