The only thing to remember is if you are allowed to see it, hear it, or know it from the Israeli’s then it is bullshit and lies. If it is censored, blocked, or denied then in all likelyhood it is partialy true. Finally, if you see news items about obscure actors, politicians, or missing children on the alphabet news feeds, or you see a sudden rise in Nazi bashing movies, documentries, news stories at the same time someone is trying to show or tell you something about Israelii atrocities then you know that it is completely true and there is likely much more to be learned.
Since not a day goes by where Israel, the people there, or the victims of their presence is not mentioned in the current events of the news on this planet it has become easy to spot the truth by how much effort is put forth to deny or erase the storys.

Proving once again that the most dangerous thing in the world is people addicted to money and power who feel they are better than the “masses” by divine and/or genetic right. People who have the wealth, power and privilege to cement, in their minds and the minds of the people they control, that they are the ruling class and should decide the fate of the rest of us.
THIS is the problem with this planet and nothing will change until we start viewing those in power for what they are …Addicts. And like any addict they will lie, kill, steal, etc..too keep their “drug” and get more.
When we stop allowing people addicted to money and power to rise to positions of control we have the ability to really grow, stop the cycles of war and destruction and finally join our brothers and sisters among the stars. If we fail in this, we will surely join the ranks of countless worlds who now float silent in space, dead. A mute testament to those who were addicted to toys and who would not share them, destroyed by their own technology because technology rose faster than social and spiritual growth.

I read in the Ottawa Journal how Irwin Cotler,MP of our parliament is hammering at the drums of war again. This time Iran is in the crosshairs. Its bad enough that we were lied into war against IRAQ the pro-ISRAEL Cotler wants the goyim to go kill the Iranians for Israel.. Its time we tell him to go to hell!! If he loves Israel that much he can move there. After all isn’t Israel for the Jews! Although I feel real bad about the Palistanians having to live next to those criminals.

I never ever ever ever thought I would be ashamed of my country ~ always so proud to be a Canuck. And I am far from politically naive, however, the veils have been lifted from my eyes and I see things through very jaundiced and shamed eyes. When I learned about Canada Park in Israel last week, and learned about it, I was shocked. Now THIS?!!! And more drum banging.
I just spend the day working over the Protocols of Zion and … well, frankly I am flat out disgusted. My local rep is a lovely lady, but I doubt she knows squat. We have spoken before and I got the idea she was here for us local folk who elected her but basically clueless on the international scale.
Our Canadian government is now a Zionist tool, Dave. As badly as the Obummer government is. I KNEW Harper would be bad, but I had not quite imagined THIS bad.
Well, so what if that is what the officials at Carlton do? We, the people will still stand in unity with those of Palestine and every other down nation. BY THE WAY, I think the term apartheid is inappropriate.
The new term is WAREHOUSING. And it is my belief that Gaza is a test caste for the rest of the world because this is how they plan to get rid of their “surplus humans”. There is little chance for apartheid in Palestine now with those crazy mad settlers, but there is a good chance of fencing a people in until they either leave or die.
Not optimistic, but just a thought. Try warehousing as a new term. I think it fits.

On Feb 9, 100 posters put up around the Carleton campus by Students Against Israeli Apartheid to announce an internationally connected series of lectures and public events. They were removed according to the LUDICROUS rationale they “could be seen to incite others to infringe rights protected in the Ontario Human Rights code” and might be “insensitive to the norms of civil discourse in a free and democratic society”. This goes beyond idiotic. Yes, Carlos Latuff’s fine art is forceful and gets the message across, a fine testament to the power of art. But what you have done is downright embarrassing, a rotten egg in the face of Canada’s international image.
I would have thought this sort of repression might occur in China, North Korea, Egypt, or even perhaps parts of the States, but here in CANADA? A country in which free speech is supposed to be a given right? This stance you support makes a mockery of our country and the ideals we are supposed to protect and represent. Free speech is one of the very ideals your grandparents pehaps fought to protect, (as the war was sold back then). It is appalling enough that you do not have humanity to take a stand against perpetrators of injustice and the vilest of war crimes, but to also forbid students, who probably also pay a nice hefty student fee for access to facilities, from the right to advertise events in which there will be SPEAKING and DISCUSSING these criminal actions? For shame! Unless of course you condone what has been going on in Palestine as nothing much to worry about. In that instance, we have a serious problem.

What is your university afraid of that there are fears of violations and perhaps incitement? Has Canada suddenly become North Korea while I was out walking the dog? Or, have Bn’ai Brith and/or AIPAC taken over? I fear the latter is more likely the case.
We all know that it is through educational institutions that young minds are prepared for their roles as the next generation in our society. They are shaped and trained by teachers and examples given them but those around them. As they are bent, so is society. Do Canadian Universities, and in this instance Carleton, think that if denied, human rights issues are ignored these young people will go away? Will students who care about what is not “politically correct” in our society just disapppear? Does Carleton intend to teach that “politically correct” can support war crimes and hush voices that dare speak out? To double this crime by threatening students with expulsion for CARING about their fellow humans rather than just grow up to be well-trained consumers focused on self or government-sanctioned “charitable works”, is just too reminiscent of Nazi Germany for this Canadian. Sorry, Ms. Runte, but Carlton just got a failing grade from this citizen.
Do you have any idea how fast news of this foolishness has traveled around the globe and how it has blackened Canada’s eyes in the international community? I heard of this issue from offended friends in Cairo and Kuwait before Canada! If it is being discussed in a coffee house in Cairo (not Starbucks), you can bet it is not just a small thing. That you do not allow debate on the academic boycott is bad enough. It would make Canadians proud to have a university with the gumption to take such a stance! Perhaps it is not the support of the ordinary people you pander to?
Internationally, the movements against Isreali’s WAREHOUSING (forget apartheid, the day for that is past) has been endorsed by hundreds of groups, educational facitilies, religious groups, everyone. These people are not racist, they are anti-racist,antisemitic as well as anti-Islamic. They are PRO HUMAN. Is this not what integration is about? But for some reason, as I write, I am beginning to smell a rat that has nothing to do with the “freedom of speech”that is being doubly insulted by Carleton.
How on EARTH can a meeting or lectures or sharing of information constitute racial or religious intolerance? I smell AIPAC or the ADL or Bn’ai Brith or some other paranoid and supremely racist scent in the air. In fact, this entire situation REEKS of their style of scare tactics. These folks flex their muscles and prefer to let people such as yourelf do their work for them. Most of us who can think are not hoodwinked into prejudice against the Jewish people. Because of course that is where this attitude of Carleton’s denial originates. Those of us who care about the human species have the brains and common sense to know the difference between religion and political action disguised as religion! For of course, that is the difference between Jews and Zionists, is it not? But, for some reason, Latuff’s posters are removed and students threatened with expulsion. This over-reaction and paranoid behaviour is to be expected if that is the mindset you are operating under.
Along with many other Canadians, I ask, nay demand, that the ban on the posters be lifted. A public apology would be wonderful, but I am not expecting miracles here, just human decency. It would also be expected that there will be an HONEST and instructional explanation of just how this poster offended so that such a thing does not happen again. Just what rules were broken, not just the party line please. Some guidelines that can be worked with would do so that everyone is happy. Yes, inclusionism is MUCH better than the other route, Ms. Runte.
I know there are other demands and retributions being demanded of you for this abominable stance, BUT I do believe, if you are a decent human being, and you look like you might be once you let your hair down, you would throw open the proposed institutional boycott of Israeli academic institutions out there and let your intelligent and competent staff and students decide the course of events to be followed. Then HONOR THE RESULTS of said actions and debates. Even an election on the issue would be better than a downright shutdown.
I know, and YOU know, we have feisty strong young people in this coming generation. I, for one, am proud of my own with their academic accomplishments and attitudes towards the earth and those of us upon it. For several years I worked as a phone poll taker for educational and government institutions. One of the things I remember asking students, HUNDREDS of them, in a polls was “Do you feel that — University/College encouraged/allowed you the freedom to express yourself, grow… etc”. THOUSANDS of students are asked this question during various polls taken regularly. Not ONE I ever spoke to said.. “well, noooo.” Do you want Carlton to go on record as being the first?
You cannot suppress free speech! The right to speak and debate is what makes young minds the great things they are and give us hope for the future. This attempt to repress free expression will ultimately fail. Carleton University administration should understand that debates on campuses on some of the most important human rights questions of our times cannot be silenced by administrative rulings.
Please, if you are a true Canadian, YOU WILL RESTORE TO THESE YOUNG PEOPLE THEIR STUDENT RIGHTS ACCORDING TO THEIR CARTER RIGHTS. Do the right thing here and let the posters go up, let the students hold their week of education, let the staff and students take a vote or whatever regarding the boycott. Just do the right thing for them, for Canada ~ and ultimately your own conscience.

I just hope that it is read and pondered over by the masses of persons that have made Canada the envy of the free world. I also hope and trust that in the near future they will elect a government that will follow the principles of a free world.

I have known Dr. Runte for a long time now and can say that she is professional in every aspect. Additionally, she is one of the most tolerant people I have ever met. It’s easy to make comments about people you have not taken the time to investigate. Just check around and you’ll see what I have said is true.
