Cold and wet. That describes the weather in Jerusalem today.

Cold and wet. That describes the situation of the scores of Palestinian families living on the streets of occupied East Jerusalem, homeless because of illegal demolitions or evictions.

Homeless because they are Palestinians living in a land occupied by illegal settlers, no other reason.

The occupiers justify their actions in many ways…. “The homes were built without permits” is their favourite reason.

“This Jewish family claims the property belongs to them” …. another lie used recently.

So, the ILLEGAL occupiers claim that the Palestinians are in the wrong…..

As Americans prepare to sit down with their families this coming Thanksgiving, prayers will not be said for these suffering people….. suffering because THEIR TAX DOLLARS are financing these atrocities.

We too want to be thankful…. but how can we with the following horrors taking place right in front of our eyes?

Israeli authorities have demolished five Palestinian homes in occupied East Jerusalem, saying they were built illegally without permits.But Palestinians say Israeli authorities have made it nearly impossible to obtain such permits.

 

Human rights groups have accused Israel of using the demolitions to tighten its hold on the occupied territory, despite international calls to halt the practice.
