MAJOR SYNAGOGUE IN NEW YORK OCCUPIED BY CATHOLICS

For the third time this year the Fifth Avenue Synagogue in upper Manhattan was invaded and occupied by parishioners from the nearby St. Patrick’s Cathedral. This disturbance made it impossible for the observant Jewish congregants to take part in pre New Year Selichot, special prayers for forgiveness.

The outside walls of the building were spray painted with anti-Semitic slogans reminiscent of a previous era;

It is believed that those responsible chose this particular time because the police are tied up at Wall Street protecting the interests of the ruling class as the occupation by workers continues.

It is hoped that this crisis can be solved before the onset of the Hebrew New Year next Wednesday night.

Ultra-orthodox Jews enter Al-Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM,  Tension ran high in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning after Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) opened the holy site up to ultra-orthodox Jews.

The Israeli police stood guard to protect batches of Jews who continuously entered the mosque, the third holiest in Islam, throughout the day, in the framework of a “foreign tourist program”.

Occupation troops were deployed heavily at the compound’s gates as well as in the nearby Arab Old City of Jerusalem. Israeli forces set up new checkpoints on the roads leading to the mosque and stopped and searched Palestinian buses.

The unwelcomed entry has drawn condemnation from the Palestinians.

In a joint statement, Hamas politicians in the West Bank said the string of entries was aimed at challenging the Islamic identity of the mosque and claiming it as Jewish, calling on the masses and officials to act urgently to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque.
