THE ‘SELF HATING JEW’ IS DESTROYING ISRAEL’S IMAGE

That’s what the following report implies… Any Jew or Israeli that speaks out against the policies in Israel merely aids the enemy.

Zion would rather we look the other way, turn the other cheek and simply Shaddup!
Well…. it just ain’t gonna happen!

Collaborating with the enemy

Israeli leftists who assist Palestinian propaganda effort expose their true face

An Israeli soldier who aims his weapon at a handcuffed Palestinian and fires a rubber bullet at his toe is a very grave matter. En route to stopping terrorists, or while dealing with rioters, there are many needless abuses of the Palestinian population. Beyond the acts themselves, the images currently being circulated worldwide are giving Israel a bad name and boosting the sense that we’re abusing innocent Palestinian protestors, and that we’re the worst of nations.

Yet if we look a little further, beyond the toe, we should be discussing yet another issue that does not attract much attention. This project of giving Israel a bad name in the world and smearing it is run by Israelis and Jews. They are of the same ilk of the despicable characters behind the academic boycott initiative, the type of new historians and propagandists who are building a career at the expense of all of us.

No, I don’t want to read it, and you can’t make me.
    lol
sorry the self-hating label is a load of horse hooey. An ad-hominem attack to smear and silence critics of Israel’s horrid behaviour.
Recognize it for what it is crap, and flush it!

This is a ridiculous argument; critisizing the Mafia doesn’t make you a self-hating Italian if you’re a native of that country, so how does critisizing the secular socialist government of Israel make you a self-hating Jew if you’re Jewish? It doesn’t. This is just a weasel-worded way for corrupt and crooked politicians and demagogues to avoid accountability for their sociopathic behavior and policies.

@ This is your image: the secular socialist government of Israel
    No such thing!
That at best is just an image, one that is VERY far from the truth
    The exact opposite is true
Look at the actions not the talk –
But maybe you knew that anyway

The line of the Orbach piece that distrubed me the most was,

“The fact that Jews are trying to catch the soldiers of their own country doing bad things by handing out cameras to our enemies is intolerable. “

So, if you are a Palestinian, you are “the enemy.” If you are a Palestinian with a camera, you are “the enemy.” If you are a Palestinian with a camera who actually documents IDF abuses, you are “the enemy.” If you are a fair-minded Jew, Israeli, or world citizen who wants to help the Palestinains find non-violent ways to document the abuses that have been denied as occurring by Israel for years….you are “the enemy.”

    Yes…this is intolerable.

Thanks as always for this piece, Desertpeace.

    regards,

I am not a Jew, but for my years of committment to the Jewish community of Wheeling, WV, I almost feel that according to the discriptions offered here, I should consider myself a “Self Hating Jew”. After producing as my first production 43 years ago a little known play “Tevya And His Daughters” (years later to become “Fidler On The Roof”), with the avowed desire to attract the support of the Jewish community, to be followed by no fewer than 26 Jewish plays, earning me the respect and admiration of the Jewish community, and with multiple trees planted in my name in Israel, you can imagine my shock at hearing that the local Rabbi now considers me to be an Anti-Semite.
After meeting with the Rabbi, I was given to understand that with the “New Anti-Semitism”, any objection to the Zionist policies enforced in the name of the Israeli people or any sympathy expressed for the plight of the Palestinians must be guilty of Anti-Semitism.
Please understand the Zionist strategy, far from curbing anti-semitism, actually is meant to create it where it previously does not exist. This, of course, is an attempt to hide their aggression behind the facade of being “the victim”.
I will remain true to my commitment to the Jewish community and to all of my dear Jewish friends in asking that they along with me voice our indignation of what is being done in our name by both the Zionists and the Neocons. We must in our own defense, speak out.

There is a well-known radio commentator named Michael Savage who recently stated that any jewish person in the media who makes comments that could create a negative perception of any other jewish person or the state of israel, is a “clown with wood teeth” and should be taken off the air. I think this statement is not only direct but also explains the reporting (and lack of it) we get in this country.

This is the opposite of true. In fact, it is Israel, which hates Jews, and has embarked on a course of destruction of Jewish reputation and decency.
The LIKUDniks have stolen my good name, and my tax dollars.
These criminals are worse than the NAZIs, because they are committing genocide and pretending to be Jews.
They are no longer supported by the majority of decent Jewish people, and we are getting tired of these criminals trying to hide themselves behind Jewish skirts.
Israel is man made, and those who have defied G-d will be punished.
The men who have names, addresses and telephone numbers will be seen for the individual criminals that they are.

9/11 was their final attempt to murder in the name of the Jews.
    They went too far.

Truly, have these people no shame…? As others have noted in their comments, it is the belligerent Zionists who have sullied the Jewish image around the world. After WWII the world bent over backwards in sympathy to the Jewish people. Then along came the rabid and racist Zionists led, not by Semitic Jews whose families could be traced to Palestine (the land that the Zionists set out to occupy,) but rather Ashkenazim Jews who are of Eastern European descent. So, in effect, they not only created a life of hell for the Arab and other non-Jew Palestinians, they created a never-ending conflict for the Semitic Jews who had lived in relative peace with their Arab neighbors for centuries.

So who is doing what to the Jewish people? If I were of the Jewish extraction I would thank all that is Holy that gentlemen like Michael Lerner, Norman Finklestien, etc., are here to let decent people know that there are courageous Jews willing to risk personal ruin in an effort to remind the world that Zionism is NOT Judaism. Neither ethnically nor religiously.
